I spent my late afternoon/early evening helping
dynee and Mike move their stuff in--they're now just one floor down from us! :D Oddly enough, they're in what used to be "kender-sized" Alicia's apartment. We've lured way too many people into living in our building.
We're also getting a new-to-us couch out of the deal! They decided they were going to just take theirs to Goodwill if nobody wanted it, so I jumped on that right away, because I am the master of hand-me-down furniture. ::rotfl:: And also because the couch that came with our apartment now has springy parts beginning to stick out of it, so it's ready to be swapped out. All we really need now is a dining room table and chairs, and we can go pretty much anywhere when it comes time to move up in the world.
Anyway, now I'm at work, and the EMU cleaning staff guy has the most god-awful music playing at some insane volume right now. Things like this really make me wish that our office was an actual office, rather than some crappy cubicle in the corner of the hallway.
Sometimes I get really, really sick of this town. Every time I've been away from it for too long, I started to really miss it, but that had more to do with who was here than the town itself. I guess I don't hate Eugene, but I'm not exactly hype to spend the rest of my life here. And I am *so* taking a vacation when I'm able! I'll probably have to start working at Law again by then, though, so it might have to wait until Y-Con. But agh, I *need* to go somewhere, even if only for a couple days.

What's your Inner European?

The Scotsman in me is currently protesting this result. ::laughs:: But at least I get a cool accent in the deal. (I'm also surprised I didn't get the not-European one, after checking J-Rock and all that... too diverse, I am)
Tomorrow = work, and swapping out the old couch in favour of the new one. Other than that, I have no idea what I'll feel up to doing.
And I'm off like a dirty shirt!
