"YOO KAN DOO EET!"
May. 30th, 2003 01:26 pmWell, the chapter test in Japanese was cake, buddy buddy! As usual, all I needed was a lot of kanji practice, and 5 minutes to review the grammar points, and I was set. Japanese seems like it has been significantly easier this term than it was in the the last two... or maybe it's just me? Anyway, now I'm at the jobbyjob, for another 3.5 hours.
God, so much to do in the coming weeks. I have to meet with Todd next week to get my internship paperwork rolling, and I also need to put in a cap and gown order soonish. I have to somehow beat up my group and nail down a time to meet and work on our Comm. Design project, because it's due in less than a week, and I'm kind of starting to panic. I also need to study for final assessments in Japanese, which apparently includes a 10-12 MINUTE ORAL. AAAGGGGHHH! Have I mentioned how much I hate orals? I'm sure I have.
Anyway, tonight = sweet, blissful nothing. I'll probably hang around the house and relax, unless somebody else has a better idea. Tomorrow, I go to Bounenkai with my JSO people! (I refuse to say "peeps". Peeps aren't humans, they're marshmallow chickens!) I'm not sure why, but somebody got the wacky idea that it'd be good for us all to meet at 9:15am. On a Saturday. WHY, GOD, WHY? Anyway, we're probably going to see Finding Nemo after I get back from Bounenkai, and then it will probably be about time for me to go to work. Sunday will involve much studying and homework and projects. Overall, it'll be a nice weekend, methinks!
So. Close. To being DONE. I can't wait.
On a random note, I ran across this quote recently, and it reminded me of probably several people that I have known in my years. Maybe some of you will agree: "I have known no man of genius who had not to pay, in some affliction or defect, either physical or spiritual, for what the gods had given him." --Max Beerbohm, Zuleika Dobson, 1911.
Wow, way to end on a down note. ::laughs:: Anyway, it's FRIDAY FIVE TAIMUUU
( Friday Fiver! )
