Well, the chapter test in Japanese was cake, buddy buddy! As usual, all I needed was a lot of kanji practice, and 5 minutes to review the grammar points, and I was set. Japanese seems like it has been significantly easier this term than it was in the the last two... or maybe it's just me? Anyway, now I'm at the jobbyjob, for another 3.5 hours.

God, so much to do in the coming weeks. I have to meet with Todd next week to get my internship paperwork rolling, and I also need to put in a cap and gown order soonish. I have to somehow beat up my group and nail down a time to meet and work on our Comm. Design project, because it's due in less than a week, and I'm kind of starting to panic. I also need to study for final assessments in Japanese, which apparently includes a 10-12 MINUTE ORAL. AAAGGGGHHH! Have I mentioned how much I hate orals? I'm sure I have.

Anyway, tonight = sweet, blissful nothing. I'll probably hang around the house and relax, unless somebody else has a better idea. Tomorrow, I go to Bounenkai with my JSO people! (I refuse to say "peeps". Peeps aren't humans, they're marshmallow chickens!) I'm not sure why, but somebody got the wacky idea that it'd be good for us all to meet at 9:15am. On a Saturday. WHY, GOD, WHY? Anyway, we're probably going to see Finding Nemo after I get back from Bounenkai, and then it will probably be about time for me to go to work. Sunday will involve much studying and homework and projects. Overall, it'll be a nice weekend, methinks!

So. Close. To being DONE. I can't wait.

On a random note, I ran across this quote recently, and it reminded me of probably several people that I have known in my years. Maybe some of you will agree: "I have known no man of genius who had not to pay, in some affliction or defect, either physical or spiritual, for what the gods had given him."  --Max Beerbohm, Zuleika Dobson, 1911.

Wow, way to end on a down note. ::laughs:: Anyway, it's FRIDAY FIVE TAIMUUU

Friday Fiver! )
For my fellow Buffy/Angel fangirls and fanboys: some news on who's going to be writing for Angel next season. :D (link courtesy of my darling [livejournal.com profile] totchiko ::glomp::)

I, for one, I am a bit terrified by the prospect of Greenwalt becoming more involved again. Hopefully Joss will be there to wave his mighty hand and smack down any bad ideas. Please, no more gratuitous bumpy-bump between the principal cast members! It makes baby Jesus cry.

But on the other hand, there will be no Rebecca Rand Kirshner or Marti Noxious! :D Hooray!

In other news, my Frewt Newts box is shaping up so nicely that I might go to Kinko's to print a bunch of them up and put them together tonight. THERE'S that motivation I was looking for! Hee. :D I hope I can find my exacto knife and a glue stick...

Okay, I'll shut up now. ::poof::

LJ Barcode thing, because I am easily amused )
batskeets: (yan!)
Apparently, this says I'm "51.47929% - Super Geek". ::laughs:: Not bad, for somebody who doesn't major in an applied science. :)

The Ol' Dirty wrote an article about web comics. And oddly enough, I routinely read EVERY SINGLE ONE THEY LINKED. XD As if I didn't have enough nerd/geek street cred.

I made THE AWESOMEST FREWT NEWT BOX EVER. :D It was a pain printing it, and I *reeeeally* want to light the Kinko's staff on fire. The one guy who could have helped me with the computer printing problem had just left for the day, and every other staffperson remaining was COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT. So, I figured it out by myself, which was annoying, but ultimately not too difficult. Anyway, so far, people dig the box! Even James thinks it looks like a real candy box, and he's like the Official Sugar Guru for the entire state of Oregon. (well, he *should* be!) I have emerged triumphant once again! :O

The dangers of the Shuffle setting on WinAmp: it hopped over to this song, and it is now going to be stuck in my head for the next 3 days. Aaaaahhhhhhh! At least the PV is pretty, though.

Anyway, I'm home, and bored, and waiting for dinner to be ready. Mark my words: I am going to watch Shaolin Soccer tonight! Well, unless somebody drops in and distracts me from my mission. Which, frankly, isn't too hard today. ^^;
