"I'm a-gonna have red beans for dinner!"
Apr. 27th, 2003 06:10 pmAs of today, I am an old fart! ::laughs::
Last night was funfunfun. We wound up with like 13 people, and we all went to Misako for dinner, because I decided to be a dictator. ^_- They were totally awesome to us, too--they gave us free edamame, just because we had to stand there for 5-10 minutes waiting for them to set up our table, and later on, we received some battered chicken with lemon sauce, "compliments of the chef." Aiiieeee, so tasty! I couldn't even finish my oyako don, so I took the rest home. ^^;;;
Afterwards, those of us who didn't have to get up early went over to the $1.50 theater to watch Spirited Away, thus creating sort of a Japanese theme to the evening, I guess. ::laughs:: But it was a really interesting movie, and totally lived up to my expectations. I would like to see it again, in Japanese. Oh, and prior to that, the boys gave me vol. 2 of The Big O! (yes, I'm behind the times. ;p) Totally awesome.
To those who came along, thanks so much for joining me!! You guys make it all better. :D
Friday at work was decent. We were stiffed on tips for the entire night, but we did get free iced coffees from the guys at Dutch Bros. I'd been hoping for a hot coffee, but they had just closed down the machine, so they gave us the free blended coffee drinks instead. :) People can be awesome, sometimes.
Today, I ran off with
junsiew to see Bend It Like Beckham and have a spot of dessert at Cafe Zenon. Ah, good times. :) Unfortunately, now I have to start thinking about my Japanese midterm tomorrow. Feh!
Okay, I should probably get on it. Bye for now!
