"I breaka you face."

Today's theme: me dealing with STUPID BROKEN SHIT that's SUPPOSED to work. WHAT THE HELL?!

First, I tried to capture my Metasynth scores so they'd be nice little wavs, so I hooked up Kero-chan to James' computer, and capture some stuff. And guess what? For some reason that eludes us, it SLOWS DOWN THE TEMPO OF MY SOUND CLIP. I'm not editing it or messing with the tempo or anything. When I record it, it plays normally, but when I play the WAV copy that has just been recorded, it's REALLY. SLOW. AAAAAAGGGGHHHH ::tears out hair::

So, to alleviate frustration, I decide to switch gears and work on CIT homework. I'm sitting here futzing with the javascript that's supposed to take user prefs from a form and save them to the cookie file, and it only works partway. So I go and nab some code from the prof's example, and *THAT* doesn't work either. It worked in class, and yet now, it doesn't.

And this is all on top of the fact that I've only had time to do some minimal kanji practice for the Japanese midterm that is happening 8.5 hours from now. KILL ME >_<

I live in fear.

EDIT: Well, I got the CIT project 100% working, so I maintain my A in that class. But there is still much to ph33r...

In other news, my exam kicked me square in the ass. I'm pretty mad about it, because I knew all of it, and if I'd had even 5 extra minutes to review the grammar points, I would have aced it. But no, I blew my entire weekend working with stupid ambient bleeping noises that still aren't converted to WAV format because COMPUTERS ARE EVIL.

And of course, today I have to bail out on my shift at work, so I can throw more of my precious time down the drain attempting to make this fscking thing work. AAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!!

I'm wondering if I can get an extension. I feel like a megaton of ass for even thinking about asking, but I'd be done by now if things actually worked the way they were supposed to. And also if the stupid sound software wasn't such a resource hog that it would *LITERALLY* crash every 5-10 minutes. (Seriously. It was like "oh! I'm playing your sound! Oops, HA HA! JUST KIDDING!")

THERE IS NO GOD.
