Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
I had a nicer day than expected today. :) I got to stay up late and sleep in. I baked a pie, literally--didn't have time to make one from scratch, so I just bought one and baked it. ::rotfl:: I was also going to make some of that fancy-schmancy Martha Stewart mac-and-cheese to contribute to
rhyn and Tim's dinner, but by the time I was going to start making it, they had already finished eating! LOL!
They were still cool enough to have me over and feed me, though, so I went over and ate some of their food, and they had some of the pie, and we watched some movies. We watched The Boondock Saints, which was hellacool. There were some interesting ideas in that one, and some cool characters. See it! :D We also watched Legally Blonde, which is still a fun one.
I always think it's kinda funny when people ask me if I'm okay with violent films. I never really thought that I came off as a person with especially delicate sensibilities. Well, that and I saw my first rated R when I was like 7 or 8, but I guess people wouldn't know that without me telling them. :)
And now, I'm home, we're watching Robocop, and I just got done making the aforementioned Mac and Cheese. (I had already bought all the material components earlier today, so I figured I might as well) We are officially amused by movies about the future that are now set in the past.
I'm thankful for my friends, some of whom are like a second family to me, and that's a big deal for me this time of year. And I'm thankful for my real family. It's whole and happy, even if we do spend a lot of time apart. :) And I'm thankful for myself, because in spite of all my recent gripes, I'm actually pretty happy with who I am. I haven't always been.
And with that, I think I'm going to kick back for a while and finish watching this movie. :)
