Dude, WHY am I still up?? ::adslfkhdlfkaadkfh::

The afternoon was pretty okay. I got my HW done in the time alloted, so that's one less thing to worry about. Made it to the JSO meeting; I succeeded in getting labcoats to serve as costumes for the skit we're planning, so they were pretty jazzed about that. :)

Had a pretty blah evening on the whole. Didn't get home until almost 8, snarfed dinner, and then blankie-fied myself and watched 12 Monkeys until I took off for a half-shift of work from 10-12:30. It was hellabusy for a Monday, and there was a backlog of probably 8-10 rides by the time Jenny came on and I got to go home. x_x Scary.

Well, at least things got more fun after I came home, though, and got carted off to the store. For some reason, grocery shopping is a lot more fun when you're doing it with silly friends at 2 in the morning. ::rotflmao:: I also now have some fabulous dark roast coffee, and a little thing of raspberry Torani syrup. Hooray, coffee experiments!

Still trying to figure out Thanksgiving plans. Well, I do have plans if I want them, it's just a matter of figuring out when to go, when to come back, and if I can afford the trip. :p

I should think about going to sleep now. G'night. :)

I think this is a day for derogatory quotes about Asians. Because I am one, so I can get away with that. ;ppp

In a somewhat related vein, I've always thought it was dumb that certain words are reserved only for certain races, and whenever other people use them, it's insulting. The foremost example being when black kids call each other "nigga" and such, but *nobody else* can, even when using it in a totally friendly, non-racial-slur kind of context. If somebody were to refer to me as a "chink" or something, I wouldn't react differently based on the race of the person saying it. :p Either be insulted, or don't be insulted.

Anyhoo, this morning got off to a shaky start--I woke up maybe 5 minutes before the start of my shift at work. Aaaaaaaagh! Now things seem to be all good. Labs and discussions are being cancelled left and right because of the holiday, so the load grows lighter! Of course, I manage to pile more on top of it all, so call me smart. ;p

So yes, this afternoon I have to go throw money at Oregon Hall, and run a couple other errands that I can't currently recall. And I also have an appointment to get my glasses fixed/replaced. <3

My computery things are set to arrive early next week. If I'd been willing to shell out for shipping costs, I could have spent this weekend playing with it, but now is not the time to be *too* extravagant.

Anyhoo, I'm out for now.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMES!

Yep, he's becoming an even older fart today. :) We'll all be home later this evening, if anyone wants to stop in and wish him a happy day.

In other news, I now have new spectacles on the way! They're not *quite* as flattering as the old ones, but they're close. And the new ones will have anti-glare coating on the lenses, so that's a bonus. :D

Other than that, I'm having a pretty busy day. But now I'm done, for the moment. Yee! Time to go kick back.
