I dragged myself out of bed at 10 to let the contractors in, but now here it is, after 11, and they're not here yet. Feh.

Watched the new Survivor last night. Wooo! I'm happy with who got booted, but did anyone else notice that of this batch of castaways, like 75% of them are from the southern states? Yeesh.

I now have an interview on Tuesday afternoon with Student Affairs. W00000t! I should have one with DDS soon, too, although they haven't set theirs up yet. Finally, things are starting to get rolling! :D This makes me feel a lot better about things.

And on that note, it's time to get some work done for Minijob.

Now that my brain is back on full, I will tell you about my dearling!

My dear friend (who will remain nameless because he has stalkers ::asdflaksdhflkas::) become legal yesterday. :D He is smart as a whip and super cool and kind of crazy, but we like that. I secretly think that he's a very nice boy, but he'll probably kick me for saying so, so maybe not. ::asdlfkadshflk::

He is a sassy child that knows how to work the system and do the things that nobody else would try because it sounds too simple and/or ludicrous. He has an incredible flair for hyperbole, especially in bizarre or problematic situations, but if you take him down like 5 or 6 notches, you'll find he's speaking truths.

If you ever meet him, don't overlook him, for he may one day take over the world, or at least buy an island or a small country. Probably one where there's lots of skiing or caviar, because that's so yuppie that he'd love it and find it amusing.

Happy birthday my boy! Maybe by the time you can drink, I'll be able to be there and buy you your first. ::rotfl::

I'm sitting here wondering where the contractors are--they grouted the tiles, and they were supposed to come back at 4 or 5 to caulk, thereby finishing off the bathroom. It's kind of a pain, too, because I haven't been able to leave the house all afternoon b/c I had to be here to let them in. :p

So, yeah, boring day. Worked for most of the afternoon, scheduled an interview with DDS for Sunday. Kinda weird that they're doing them on a Sunday, but I guess a lot of these departments on campus are running out of time, ne?

Still, weeeee! I may have a job pretty soon. :)

Firefly premieres later... and it's time for Iron Chef now! Wooo!

Oh yeah, Firefly was neat. :D Very Joss-y, and there were some shades of Cowboy Bebop, IMHO. Or maybe that's just the space cowboy-type setting at work. :) Still, very cool.

And you should all know that polysciguy makes a darn good pot of chili. :D
