So Please Save My Earth was pretty neat, in my opinion. It's definitely a haunting and kind of cracked out series, but that's exactly what I often go for in my anime favourites, so it all works out. :D I agree with a lot of the people who reviewed it on Netflix, though... the ending didn't seem to resolve much of anything, and it would have definitely benefitted from being made a longer series.

I actually made dinner tonight as I said I would, which was fabulously fun. I made an interesting broccoli casserole, and chicken breasts cooked with white wine, tarragon, and other miscellaneous herbs and spices. I think it turned out pretty tasty, and James seemed to like it too. Woo! :D

So anyways, I'm thinking I'll probably go to bed in a bit. I've been kind of sluggish all day, so I don't think I'll have much trouble sleeping. Of course, I say this now... :p

Thank god... I suspect that oftentimes this LJ is dull enough to sleep to. ;p

I feel very fortunate that I'm not the only person who has had to repeatedly kick themselves in the ass in order to get *anything* done this week. I don't feel quite so bad about feeling lazy. I mean, yeah, I've been getting stuff done, but I've been grumpy at best about doing said stuff, and that's annoying. I was all ready and rearing to go and be productive just a few days ago, but I guess that's worn off. Drats. :p

Anyhow, I am actually going to the office today, so I'd better actually do that.
Haha! That reminds me: the other night when we went out for sushi, they started their closing duties, which included mopping, so I had the PERFECT excuse to sing the mopping song. Mop mop mop, all day long, mop mop mop while I sing this song... :D

Note: that's Michael CAINE, not Michael Douglas, JAMES... ;pppppp

Heh, when I typed Douglas up there a minute ago, I spelled it with two "s". ::rotfl:: Silly dorms and their effect on my spelling. ;p

Damn, I think I had a point for this post, but I've pretty much forgotten it. Damn me and my rambling. ^^;

OH YEAH! And what's going on tonight, my people? It's Friday, and I'm looking for fun! :D
I love my friends. They are amusing and fun, and they know when to be around me and when to leave me alone, and they often bring up bizarre or unusual topics that are not always for the faint of heart. (or should I say "faint of mind," since it's oftentimes nerdy-smart stuff?)

Some of my friends are truly wonderful because not only can I trust them with everything, but I also have no awkward feelings about that trust. It's harder than you'd think to find someone who will have the capacity to listen to you, advise you, and give comfort to you, AND also make you comfortable with the idea of confiding in them. Some people are great confidantes, but they're too intimidating for others to confide in. Others don't want to be confided in, but they have those duties foisted upon them anyway, because they're easy to talk to. Both qualities in the same person... that's tougher.

Some friends are great because of how cool they are, and by "cool," I mean impressive. They represent something that is sometimes foreign to you, but it's because of that foreignness that you find them so amazing. They are, or are able to do, something that you feel you can't. They give you something to learn from, and grow upon.

And some friends are great to have because, in addition to being fun and refreshing to hang with, you can also hate people vicariously through them. :D

Seriously, I totally mean that. It's sometimes important, especially for a weenie pacifist pansy like me, to have at least one or two friends who are aggressive, angsty, and seemingly unafraid of letting their true feelings be known. It reminds me that there are some times when I shouldn't be so polite or easy to please.

And I need to run outside now, before I get any parking tickets. :p
