Dec. 13th, 2001

So I went dancing at Doc's Pad again, this time with Felicia, Zach, and Joel. We stayed longer this time, I think... we got there like an hour later, but stayed two hours later. I did more footwork too, so my tootsies HURT. x_x There was a lot of the same music, but there were also a few new selections that kicked ass! It was a little more 80's than it was last week, with some fun disco-y songs too. The DJ is pretty good, all in all, so I'm pretty satisfied this week too.

There were some, uh, "colorful" people there. One guy was hitting on me, but it was in a very nice, gentlemanly fashion, so I forgive him. He actually said hello and asked how I was doing and other such pleasantries! (As opposed to the guy who stared at my ass and made whooping noises. -_-;) SHO-KU! And then some very drunk couples shoved their way between us and trampled me, so I just limped away without saying anything. I feel kind of bad about just walking off without explaining, because he was nice and he deserved that much, but I think getting back over there would have gotten me horribly maimed, and it's not like I would've gone out with him or anything anyway, so there you go. Felicia and Zach were also accosted by some pretty drunk folks themselves, so I guess it was a theme tonight. ^^;

Amusing tangents of discussion afterwards: the rave environment vs. the bar environment (a.k.a. people who are there to dance vs. people who are there to get laid) and ass/pelvis grinding as a courting ritual. ::rotfl::

Wow, I apparently got TWO kudos today at greppy, because I gave some kids advice about their web site. I said some good things about each site, and gave them a couple things to think about improving. It's a comfort to know that some sense of diplomacy still exists in my punk-ass web persona. ^^;;;

And as it is now technically the 13th...
HAPPI BASUDEI to AMY!
Gah! She's 22! It's so odd to think that some of the kids who graduated from AHS in the year(s) after I did are still older than me. ^^;;;;;;

Now, it is bath time. Zoom!
I had a hard time getting up this morning, as I didn't really feel like moving much. ^^; I'm not as sore as I expected to me, but my feet are still a little stiff. It *was* like 4 hours of straight-up dancing without any real opportunity for rest, since we didn't get there early enough to snag a booth, and our stools got nirked after we were on the dance floor just a few minutes. I'd probably be better off had I been able to actually sit down on something other than the bathroom toilet over the course of the evening. :p

I have determined that I WILL cook tonight! ::dramatic pose:: None of us have really had the time or energy to cook since the first bit of Dead Week, and I'm *really* starting to miss the green stuff, because we don't get much of that with frozen, take-out, or easy-prep meals. I didn't think I could miss vegetables this much! ^^;;;;; And I think I have a couple new recipes that may be worth trying, so we'll find out tonight.

At any rate, I'm working from home again today, because A) it's miserable outside and raining HARD, and B) my feet would probably complain a lot if I tried to walk to campus. They're getting better though, so I am *definitely* going in tomorrow.

Tonight is SURVIVOR! :O I did decent on the picks last week... I ranked first for the week in the LJ team, which is enough for me! Time to turn on the predictive brain cells again today and hopefully do well.
Tonight is ANIME NIGHT!
We're starting at 5pm-ish! Bring your friends! :D

This is now my wallpaper. (Thank you Lauren) Take the time to read it, it's hilarious. :D

I'm off to do something useful.
