Saturday!

Nov. 4th, 2001 03:46 am
Saturdays are so good. I didn't think it was possible, but the days just keep getting better. :D I got my first two discs from NetFlix today! Perfect Blue, and Sailormoon S: Hearts in Ice. I'm really itching to watch them, because I haven't seen either one, but I shouldn't, because then I won't be able to sit still and watch them on Anime Night. Sigh. Patience is a virtue, so I'd best exercise that virtue.

And speaking of exercise, I need to start doing that again. This week has been so busy that I haven't had time for it the past few days.

Anyway, today I crawled out of bed sometime in the afternoon, had a relaxing period of wake-up time, and nibbled on a burrito before I went downstairs with James at 4ish. We were looking for Felicia cos she'd mentioned dinner plans, but alas, she wasn't there. But we did snag Danz0r and Ambular and bop on over to Office Depot. I finally got a lovely new ergonomic keyboard to replace the one that randomly broke on me! The keys seem a lot quieter than the keyboard that goes with Shecky, too. Ahhh. So nice to have stuff! James also found a scanner for his aunt, and Amber bought her own copy of Starcraft.

We came back after that, and snagged Felicia, Cory, and Brian for dinner. First, we tried to go to Beppe & Gianni's, which is just a short walk from our place, and lordy lordy, it was packed. We couldn't even fight our way through the door. x_x We quickly gave up on that and opted for the Olive Garden, which in retrospect was only slightly less crowded, but it was also right by Barnes and Noble, so the long wait was a lot more tolerable. :)

There's nothing quite like a great big bookstore when you want to kill some time... it sucked that we only got to stay there for 20 minutes or so, because we had to be near the restaurant when the pager thing went off. But man, bookstores are cool. They didn't have Dooon Mode, though, which sucked. I was really hoping to take home something good to read tonight. Oh well, maybe next time.

After that, we went over to the VRC movie theater since it was nearby, and saw Monsters, Inc. It was definitely a fun movie, it had us in stitches! :D I also really dug the animated short they showed before the movie... I thought James was gonna die from laughing so hard. ::rotfl::

After that it was getting late, so we came home and played Starcraft, so now it's even LATER! :O I feel like kind of a flake because I ended up not going to the Live Clue event, but I really really wanted a nice dinner out, and it was like 8:45 when we finally got done at the Olive Garden, so I guess my tummy won that fight. ^^; But hey, I'll be ready and rarin' to go for the meeting and open gaming night two weeks from now, and I've already had quite a few headaches this week because of the gaming club as it is... blah! Excuses, excuses, I know... I just like to refer to them as "justification." ^_-

Anyhoo, I think it's time for BED. :O

Mweee!

I'm up and about, and having a nice, lazy Sunday. James came in and woke me up, and he made me some breakfast. Aaaawwww. :D

Now, I get to think about what I'm going to do with the rest of my day. It won't be much, probably, since I don't plan on going anywhere, but that's okay. It's good to have a lazy day. And there's movie night tonight and QAF at 10. Yay!
