I must have fallen asleep at least twice during class this morning... fortunately, we got out an hour early, so it could have been a lot worse. Hopefully Craig doesn't hate me for it, seeing as he is my advisor. x_x All we really went over was basic stuff about digital photography and scanning that I've already known for at least a couple of years, so it's no wonder that it didn't hold my attention. I can't wait until we actually start doing assignments.
Oh yeah, I should mention that the observation I made the other day about my multimedia classes being taught by the same 3 people was slightly inaccurate. The class I thought was taught by my old GTF is actually taught by my advisor. So, it's not *quite* as small a world as I thought it was, but it's close. ;p
Note to self: fill out the wall calendar tonight! Or else I'll forget homework assignments, and that's bad. ^^;
Anyways, yeah, I'm in the EMU, and I just bought my lunch, but I don't think I'm going to eat it until after 11. I'm *really* hungry though... argh... no, I'll just do some hiragana practice first.
I'm going stir-crazy. Just so you know.

I can't write. :p
Sep. 27th, 2001 11:13 amI didn't think it was even possible, but my hiragana is even more horrifying than my english handwriting! ::asdlkfasdlk:: Oh well, at least I'm going to kick this afternoon's quiz square in the ass. Assuming they can read my fugly hiragana characters, that is. ;p
So anyways, last night was fun. I enjoyed myself watching Enterprise. They did some cute stuff. I liked that Cpt. Archer had a dog, and I liked that the nacelles were like the ones from TOS, and I liked how everyone seemed very contemporary. They weren't running around looking all hyper-futuristic, and Archer was wearing such normalcies as a baseball cap or a shirt with BUTTONS! :O For some reason, I just don't imagine button-down shirts as being a standard in the far future. ::rotfl:: But yeah, I think they've done well so far with making the show feel pre-Original-Series without bathing themselves in cheesy campiness.
I think it's getting too close to lunchtime now, cos the Fishbowl is starting to fill with pathetically normal-looking people, so I think I'll be taking my leave now. Whee!

I'm counting down the minutes until I can leave for Japanese. I'm bored and boredom when you're tired means unscheduled naps. And unscheduled naps are a bad thing. And I also want to get my quiz overwith, because quizzes make me nervous, ever so slightly.
I'm looking forward to going home and taking a breather, since I don't have anything due tomorrow aside from whatever written exercises I might have in Japanese. I have the whole weekend to work on my assignments for Continuity and Imaging. So it's FUN TIMES for me! :D I love it when a schedule comes together. ::smokes cigar::

I've got Japanese on the brain...
Sep. 27th, 2001 05:08 pmI'm loving this class *so* much. It's almost ridiculous, and I imagine it's probably the only one I'm going to talk about regularly *without* it involving falling asleep or being bored. ::rotfl:: Imaging is too early in the morning for me to really enjoy the actual class period, and Continuity could be cool, but there's not near the amount of interaction with other people.
Anyways, I totally rocked the casbah on that quiz. That bit of studying I did this morning at the Fishbowl totally helped. It was easy. :D Fukuda-sensei (the Tuesday/Thursday GTF) was checking on people all through class and trying to get those who took Japanese in high school to register for 199 instead of 101. At one point she came up to me and she asked if it was too easy for *me* and did *I* want to go sign up for 199, and I was all "oh, well, I've never taken any before! I just watch lots of anime!" I'm sure I now have "DORK" written in kana next to my name on the roll sheet. ::asdflaksdlahksdf:: Maybe if I wear my Laruku shirt to class tomorrow, I won't look like such a moron. ^_-
I'm reading the MBTV recap of Love Cruise right now, cos I saw part of it on Tuesday night. I actually wanted to watch it, too, because god, there are *so* many people to make fun of! ::adflasdflhka:: So yeah, I might actually start watching this show, but it'd be for reasons completely separate from my sporadic addiction to Survivor. Survivor at least gives me the intrigue of trying to figure out what people's strategies are, but as far as I'm concerned, everyone on Love Cruise just has a big red target painted on their ass. ::asdfladsfhlkklhhlk:: Well, except that Michael guy, cos he actually seemed like he could turn out to be genuinely nice and of reasonable intelligence.
So anyways, I'm gonna fix up a snacky snacky, cos I had lunch an hour early, and I'm either going to watch TV or work on my second job. Or maybe I'll do my Japanese assignment, while I'm still bouncing around going "arigatou gozaimasu! konbanwa! iiotenki desu ne!" ::rotflmao::

Wow, an update. :O
Sep. 27th, 2001 07:02 pmI updated Working The Street, and changed it from a Street Teaming site to a generalized anime/j-rock fandom site, since the Street Team has gone the way of the Dodo. I put up my recap of Y-Con there, with some stuff I didn't mention here in LJ added in. :D
If I felt more motivated, I'd do two updates, but I'm really tired today. ;_; I think I should just find some dinner and make plans for tonight. And do my hiragana exercises for tomorrow!
Alyson's post made me want to listen to *more* Luna Sea, even though I've run through the STYLE album like 50000 times now because it's the only thing I have to listen to at work right now. ::rotfl:: ANATA SAE! ANATA MADE!! WAKARANAKU-NA-RU-HO-DOOOOO!
