Grumble grumble

I've been sketching for a few hours now... I drew a super-crappy full-body school uniform sketch of one of my characters, and some headshots of her with different facial expressions that I'm actually pretty happy with. Maybe it'd be better if I only had to depict them from the waist up, ne? (advantage: web comic)

So I was watching SNL earlier, and Nirvana was on, and they made me think about rocking out while you're performing a song. I mean, I look at these guys jumping and thrashing about WHILE they're playing guitar, and it looks like it takes more coordination than *I'd* ever have. If I'd tried to thrash around the last time *I* played guitar, it would come out sounding like a bunch of crap. And then I'm like "oh, wait. They *do* sound like crap right now." ::rotflmao::

I'm tired now, and I dunno if I'll last until James gets home from RPing. SIGH. We'll see.

So I woke up by myself this morning, which would have been a nice feeling, were it not for the "oh crap, I overslept!" alarm that went off in my head a split second later. ::sigh:: I sat up, and my clock was flashing 3:05... so I guess my alarm clock had lost power 3 hours before I woke up. O_o;;; It was weird too, because my computer was still on and humming along fine when I checked on it, so that makes me think that maybe just the alarm clock's outlet lost power or something. I dunno. ::rolls eyes::

I'm reading an article Mike posted about a guy who's gonna amputate HIS OWN LEGS. O_o;;;;; It's truly freaky... kowaiiiii. ;_;

Anyhoo, time for exercise and shower and FOOD.

I had to clean out some sub-directories at Utena.net, and would you believe?? I found some old Cynical Dreamer Web files that I didn't have archived! Ah, the memories... Since I bought Mokuzen and stopped calling the collective CDW, another Sarah has "borrowed" the name for her blog, and I also believe that Danielle (of Reflections/Sailor Grub's SM Manga Images fame) wanted to use it too. (Danielle was nice and e-mailed me asking for permission. Awww! ;_;) I guess I was onto something with that. Or not. ;p

I think Mokuzen's down, which annoys me to no end. Grrr!

I'm working on changing the layout for the Anime Board, because as cute as I am when my head's pasted onto Buck tick, I'm getting sick of looking at it. ::rotfl:: I might even make a cute escape page too, because the gods are feeling froggy today.

I have a WinAmp skin with FIGHTER on it now. Tremble at my cool Fighterness p0w3r. :D

James is home. I changed the Anime Board, and I made a cutecute Escape page for the Board to use too. Whee! I have successfully wasted the entire afternoon! >:D But darn if it wasn't fun.

I think Cory and I are scheduled to go see Planet of the Marky Marks (tm Mara) this evening. It's not even really because we *want* to see it, because I kinda think it might suck, and Cory is sold on the fact that it's going to suck. I just kinda feel like I *have* to see it, as though it's a moral imperative just because it's called "Planet of the Apes" and the other movie with the same title was good. SIGH. Oh well, it's something to do! And RPers are going to invade my living room later anyway, so it's a good day to get the hey out of the house.

I'm approved for monthly payments on an iBook, if I want it. W00tie! :D I have the phone number of a lady from Apple who said she has access to some special refunds/promotional offers that I might be able to apply on top of my educational discount, so I'm gonna try to call her tomorrow or Monday, depending on if she's actually available on a Saturday, and see what kind of deal I can get. Hooray for ch33p toys. :D

I'm soooo excited. Alyson, Kyuu, and Bossness need to think of DVDs they/I can bring for late-night Y-Con fun, cos I think I'd probably get the iBook that has the DVD player in it! :D OH, and maybe the hotel will have high-speed internet in the room like Brad's hotel room in SD! Then I check my e-mail constantly and we can brag about the con on the Pyromania board and I can post a lot about all the random fangirl crap we're doing AS IT HAPPENS! :O

We're gonna take off sometime in the near future, I think. I kinda want to go somewhere now though, it doesn't seem like there's enough time between now and when I'd have to go to do anything of consequence.

Thank you. Anyways, I just read this article on X-E, and if you look waaaayyyy at the bottom, you'll see Wil Wheaton, a.k.a. Wesley Crusher, a.k.a. Mr. "I will never save the ship again" from Star Trek: TNG.

Now, those of you who knew me back in the day (which probably isn't anybody on LJ aside from Christy) know that I was a sad, sad little girl and had a horrendous crush on Wesley during the original run of TNG. Yeah, yeah, make fun if you will, but keep in mind that I was a very hormonal TWELVE YEARS OLD at the time. Yeah, piss off, Jerky McJerkigan. :p

Anyways, according to Robert's encounter, Mr. Wheaton is apparently both a gaming nerd, AND a big fan of X-E. And sadly, for me, that increases his hotness quotient like tenfold. And he's still got those cute little fangy I-teeth.
