Today

Today was a good day. Time spent relaxing, reading a bit for class, and we also went out to see A Knight's Tale, and we actually got Felicia, Dan, David, and Sarah in on it along with us. V00t. :D It was a fun movie, and definitely not one that took itself too seriously. It's definitely not for people who want to nitpick at historical inaccuracies, but for the common viewer, it's good fun. ^_^

We missed the first 10 mins or so of X-Files after the movie, which kind of sucked, but I understood everything that was going on. Mulder was decidedly less bitchy this episode, which was a relief. He has been a real piss-master lately. The finale next week is gonna rock, j0! :D

I am exhausted, once again. It might be because I'm not eating as much as usual, or maybe it's just my body catching up from all the running around while being ill. But at any rate, it's bedtime for me. Maybe I'll get up early tomorrow to work out, or do some more reading for class.

I'm here at work now. I'm very awake today, but I am also disgusted that I needed 8-9 hours of sleep in order to achieve this state. I was once perfectly functional on FOUR hours per night. I'd love to achieve that again... but I guess today's not the day.

Class was good today. I was on-time too, rather than being slightly late or ridiculously early. Let's hope it continues to be as good for the rest of today.

I lost the plastic baggie that I use to cover my bike seat and thus avoid Soggy Wet Seat of the Pants on rainy days. And wouldn't you know it? It's raining today. Damnit.

So yeah, I had a good lunch, and then went to Art History. One of the sculptures we discussed today was the Ecstasy of St. Theresa, and the story behind that is basically this: she's meditating about God and such, and then an angel comes down and stabs her with "the arrow of divine love," and she says that while it's painful, the pain is so sweet that she doesn't want it to end. And the sculpture's got this dainty little cherub-ish angel smiling all serenely as it's about to stab her with this arrow. Now, is it just me, or does that little religious anecdote seem really, really twisted and messed up? Yet another reason to stick with the non-religious path, IMHO.

I am eating my happy orange, which is wonderfully juicy and tasty today. (the last couple have been a little bland) And I'm trying to figure out when I want to go do the Roman Battle thingy that Meredith is coordinating. I don't have my toga though, b/c I didn't have time to get fabric for it. I'll probably go soon though, as there is nothing particularly pressing here.

TO-GA! TO-GA!

I was just outside making an ass of myself having gladiator battles in togas with boffer weapons. I eventually got the megaphone handed to me so I was the herald for most of the time I was there. ::rotfl:: It was great fun, and we got a lot of strange looks. Most people didn't feel like sticking around though, because it was raining.

I have an hour left here at work, and then I have no idea what I'm going to do. Probably go home and work out, think about dinner, and study for Art History.

Evening

Tonight was pretty normal. I did some DDR and Pilates, and then took a shower and relaxed until dinner was ready. I also got to watch an episode of Three's Company, which I haven't done in a semi-long time. I'm kind of pooped, but I dunno if I feel like going to bed. I've had this feeling all day that I didn't really want to start working on any of my little projects, because I wouldn't be able to finish what I was doing on any given one before I had to go do something else... and that irritates me, when I'm unable to finish things that I start doing. So I dunno, hopefully tomorrow will be better for getting things done.
