Chauffeur gets a night off

It seems like I'm carting people around everywhere this week, and I don't even have a car. James just can't or doesn't want to drive, and <hyperbole>apparently he's the only one in the WHOLE CAMPUS who has a sizeable vehicle. </hyperbole> So since he trusts me enough to drive it without him being there...

Today it was a trip to Jerry's to get PVC and foam and stuff for the boffer weapon-makin session tomorrow. Fortunately, we also stopped at Factory Fabrics to get this other variety of foam, and I found *THE* perfect satin fabric for a costume I want to make! So I got some white satin, and a gorgeous royal blue. I am officially pumped, because it took me a while to find anything like it.

I have been doing various things on the computer all evening... web sites, e-mail, watching some DVDs, playing The Sims... nice relaxing evening. I made alfredo pasta for dinner before that, and it was *good*. :D And I completely ignored the stoopid football game, per my usual reaction. Last year was fun because I was actually there in the stadium, but sports on TV is pretty lame, unless it's something more visual and performance-oriented, like figure skating. But I'm a girl, so of course I'm pro-figure staking. ^_-

Stupid Windoze!

I bought a USB parallel converter cable for my printer today, and the damn Win 98 drivers won't work. And they haven't made drivers for Windows ME yet. This is *SO* irritating.

Oh well, at least the X-Files is on soon.
