Pitching a tent
May. 12th, 2010 12:41 pmHey dudes. It occurs to me that, in preparation for the Hood Canal trip, I should stop procrastinating and actually buy my own tent. But, since I only really need a single-occupancy tent, I'd also like to kill two birds with one stone by getting a tent that I could use for backpacking at a later date.
SO: can you recommend an inexpensive, compact-and-lightweight tent that would work well in a backpacking context? Or maybe a location in Portland where I could acquire one?
Gracias!

=)
They are light weight, rain repellent, have a mesh top and mesh door so the tent can be open without allowing bugs to crawl in...good stuff!
