Sometimes...
Feb. 28th, 2010 02:33 amIt's funny how you can go from being okay one day, to being, well, "not-so-okay" the next. Today started off on the wrong foot, and the rest of the day wore me down a lot more than I expected. Now I'm finding myself in somber spirits, even after having a whole damned lot of fun at the JoCo show this evening.
It's times like this when you find yourself painting parts of your room at 1:30am. You're tired, yet somehow still antsy, searching for somewhere to direct the energy. The repetitive motion of putting paint roller to wall *was* strangely soothing. And now I'm that much closer to having a space I'll enjoy living in.
I think I have hormones to thank for some of the emo today, so hopefully it'll have blown over when I wake up in the morning. If it doesn't, I guess I'll look for another solution.

You've got a lot going on, chica. You're working yourself super hard, and don't have a lot of downtime for yourself right now. You're a driven lady, but I also think (like a lot of us) you forget to give yourself a little TLC once in a while. Making that room into a sanctuary is going to be a big step towards it, and while new paint likely won't fix anything, it will hopefully provide a fresh perspective.
(I redecorated my bedroom after the divorce, too. It seems the thing to do, like drastically cutting your hair... which I also did after the divorce. These are comfort patterns for a reason, methinks.)
*hugs tight* Yah, emo from one day to the next, or even one moment to the next? Totally happens. *hugs tighter* If there's anything I can do, let me know. We could try to grab coffee sometime this week, if you have a spare squeezed hour somewhere.
