Drunken style!
Dec. 16th, 2009 05:15 pmI have to share this video because it is, for lack of a better word, SIIIICK:
(My Hero Master Chen is the drunken-style sword guy, and the spear dude is the school's new teacher, Master Jiang.)
Yeah, the demo was freakin' sweet. I think I'm dealing with performing better, and having an easier time not panicking after I make a mistake. I have no idea if this will also apply the next time I hit the competition floor, but it's a good sign.
Help Portrait was a fun experience, too. I could only stay for the first half of the day, but there were some very sweet families and freakin' adorable kids who came to get their portraits done. I think they got more of a variety of disadvantaged people as the day went on, but during the early part, it seemed like there were quite a few single moms. I'm always amazed at how single moms manage to make everything work, so I couldn't help but feel for them.
After the demo, I wound up helping with cleaning and prepping the garage-soon-to-be-bedroom for priming and painting, so that took a couple hours on Saturday and a bit more time masking on Sunday morning. It was nice to have something I could actually help with, though, because I'm clumsy as hell when it comes to construction-y things. And I'm *really* looking forward to just having the bloody thing done already, so Andy can move into it.
I also haven't talked about the photoshoot yet! Or anything else that happened that day, either. But I will soon... it was a good day!

Date: 2009-12-17 05:31 am (UTC)Also, I have a huge crush on Master Jiang. I don't care if he looks like he's 12 and is probably only 17. He needs to have my babies.
