iPod Shuffle: I has one!

Yes, I am now the proud owner of an iPod Shuffle. I randomly won it at an event drawing, and it took me *forever* to get the thing, but I finally received it yesterday.

I wasn't really aware of the current design for the Shuffle, so I'm freakin' amazed by how tiny and nondescript this thing is. If I'd seen one lying on the sidewalk before getting this one, I would never have thought to pick it up. Well, okay, maybe I'd have picked it up if it was one of the funky-colored ones. But the one they sent me is gray, and I'd easily miss that.

What's even more nuts is that this little device that's smaller than my pinky holds 2GB of music. Now I have to make playlists... if y'all have any ideas of things I should listen to, suggestions are always appreciated!

In other news, a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and apple butter is magically delicious. I'm in a massive soup-and-sandwich mood lately, and the furnace at home being busted is only contributing to that, I'm sure. I really need to start eating well again, though. Tomorrow, yes. Definitely.

When I got my first Nano and it held 4 gigs, I was certain the future had arrived.

My latest music find that I've been recommending to people is Pomplamoose... you can get a taste on their youtube channel, and their stuff is available on iTunes for cheap. They're super talented and hipster dorky in all the right ways.

oh man, a grilled cheese sounds SO good right about now. I need to try some new types.. I tend to always stick with cheese/pickle/ham (the austrian standard) but I really need some inspiration/experimentational ideas :)
