Print sale is on! I forgot to mention that I can also ship outside of Portland, for those rates + postage. :)

I met with a menswear designer yesterday, a super-nice guy who makes menswear that's actually not boring! Some of it skews more towards androgyny, but OMFG I have awesome ideas now. I suspect I'm getting way overcommitted for the period between now and my trip, but I cannot *wait* to start shooting this. <3

My bus broke down on the way home, yesterday. The driver stopped and re-started a couple of times, and then finally pulled the bus over and jumped out for a minute. Then, he came running back in, grabbed the wastebasket, and ran back out again without telling us what was up.

He had to empty us all out a couple minutes after that, and when I got out, there was a ton of fluid leaking out the back. I heard the driver complaining that he'd called dispatch from Sauvie earlier, saying that the bus was acting up, but they hadn't sent anybody. Man, Tri-Met is made of fail.

I'm having trouble thinking right now, because my body is, apparently, really unhappy with me. My back is tweaked out, and I can't figure out what's doing it, although I suspect it was triggered by my workstation at The Job. I scraped some change together and got an in-office chair massage yesterday, hoping that they could work out the kinks, but I'm feeling them again today. I'd love to get a one-hour massage and *really* get all my damned muscles worked out, but there's no way I can afford that right now. :(

I've been really friggin' tired all week, too, and my sleep keeps getting interrupted. For a few days, I was waking up at night with a too-full bladder, so I'd have to get up and pee before I could fall back asleep. Now, I'm waking up at 6:30am for no apparent reason at all, even though I KNOW I haven't had enough sleep yet. All I want is my 8 hours of uninterrupted recovery, plz.

So, yeah, I'm a big complainer this week. I really hope I get some good sleep tonight. But, even if I don't, I'll see friends this weekend! I think that's the only thing getting me through the week, at this point. :)

P.S. My face is peeling. YAY. :p

Kind of off topic, but how much protein do you eat a day? After my protein issues, I can't help thinking that with all you train perhaps not enough protein could be an issue. This could just be me projecting my issue onto you, though.

Yeah, I think that was an issue, a while back, but in recent months, I've been logging what I eat and keeping things around a 30/40/30 protein/carb/fat ratio. I've been feeling physically good, for the most part, but sleep problems can really mess me up, sometimes.

I was just shocked at how much protein I was supposed to be eating. 50g a day?! That is a ridiculous amount. I think for ladies who do serious exercise and diet it goes up to like 75g. This seems insane to me, but I guess for people who eat meat often it isn't such a wild thing.

Wow, I've been landing around 90-100g per day, for the past couple months! I tend to overeat if I have too little protein, though; if I have a carb-heavy meal I just burn right through it.

And yeah, hitting a high protein mark gets harder without meat. When my naturopath had me cut back to only eating meat 2-3x/week, I struggled a lot with the protein thing. You always post vegetarian recipes that sound really good, though, so I might try that again soon :)

I totally overeat without enough protein. We eat meat on occasion, but not daily. I struggle to get even 30g a day, which is why I've started adding in whey protein.
