And it all hits at once

batskeetsAaaagggh. Weeks of boredom at The Job, and now I have requests coming at me from all directions. Jesus, it's either completely dead or insanely busy. I think I slightly prefer the latter; at least I'm getting to switch gears when I want to, and take a break from tasks when they get too tedious or frustrating. And, the day goes *way* faster.
Anyhoo, Belt Upgrade: I has one. Next is Nandao (a.k.a. southern broadsword), and/or whatever the competition class is doing. I actually want to do Nandao, but I know they won't teach a competition form, that it'll be too (athletically) easy, etc. I guess I want to do both, but we'll see how it goes. It's irritating trying to explain that I want to be pushed harder, because Master Chen and Master Gao are training me, but it's not their decision what class I go into. *I* know I can learn forms super-quick, and *I* know I can be a physical bad-ass with the right challenges. The people who train me have begun seeing that, but the guy who runs the show doesn't seem to know it.
Bleh, enough complaining about that. I'll work it out!
Boy threw together a small BBQ while I was in class last night, so there were a few folks at the house when I got back, he grilled some food and made "21-and-over" smoothies (heh), and we played some board games once the sun was down. We need to have people over more often, it's nice to kick around! It's hard to do without planning ahead, though. And, as much as I like a good kosher dog, I think we need to grill some chicken breast or something next time. I could have eaten five of those damned hot dogs and not been satisfied. ;p
I'm glad I have nowhere to be tonight, because work is kicking my butt. Although, I did get a free tomato plant for Earth Day, from the building management folks. I'd better hand that plant over to Erick before I kill it! XD
Speaking of which, the greenhouse is close to done and looking awesome! And Nathan brought us a bunch of seeds for veggies I LOVE, so I'm really looking forward to getting this stuff growing. Whee!
