Apr. 17th, 2009 11:49 amCan you recommend me a good Monday happy hour? I'm trying to figure out a place for Birthday Happy Hour... I was originally thinking Horse Brass, but they don't seem to have any easily-verified drink or food specials for happy hour.
Also, anyone out there going to Zombie Prom this year? We were talking last night, and determined that we can't do the Red Dress Party this year, because the friggin' Eugene Marathon is at 6am the next morning.
THEN we brought up Zombie Prom, and Boy loves zombie movies like crazy, so I think we'll be doing that instead! BRAAAAIIINS. :D
Miles and Morgan invited us to a burlesque show last night, and it was interesting, because A) I've never been to a burlesque show, B) I'm not particularly into seeing mostly-naked women, and C) several pinup models that I've done photoshoots with were there and/or performing. Maybe it's just me, but it's a little odd to know a person in a certain context, (i.e. professional, team-based, or other not-simply-a-friend-or-lover contexts) and then see them in lingerie, heh.
That said, there were some really cute and creative routines, so it was amusing nonetheless. There was one routine where the girl had a praying mantis costume, set to Maneater. Seriously. XD
Also hilarious was the raffle they held. First, they gave away a set of pasties, which was won by some middle-aged dude, and they also gave away a pin-up makeover and photoshoot, which was won by Boy! That was funny on multiple levels, given that he is A) a photographer, and B) a dude.
I have no idea what they're going to do with him, and the makeover stylist (who'd also modeled for us before) texted me later saying, "if your guy doesn't want it, make him give it to you!" Baaahahaha. Either way, the results should be entertaining.
I'm really glad it's Friday. I'm way too tired, and going out on weeknights hasn't been great for catching up on sleep. Even though partying is probably the last thing I need right now, I'm still looking forward to
twilite_embrace's housewarming! I might just have to crap out a little earlier than my usual. (of course, my usual on a Saturday is, oh, 2 or 3am...)
