Stereotypes
Apr. 2nd, 2009 10:15 amHarvey's Tonight: I tacked a couple of extra tickets on my reservation for the hell of it, so if anyone would like to jump on board, let me know! Show's at 8:00pm, I'll probably get there around 7:30pm to get the tickets.
So there's this place that opened up in the building recently, which is apparently billed as a salon and spa For Men. Apparently, this means lots of hardwood decor, satellite TV, and a complimentary beer with your chosen service. Yeah, go-go-gadget gender stereotypes. ;p I kind of wonder what they'd do if a woman walked in there wanting a salon service, because I, personally, would *love* a free beer with a massage.
Anyhoo, we tried for the Dressed To Kill Hike yesterday evening, but traffic held us up so bad that we missed the group, and despite almost an hour of running around the arboretum, we couldn't find them. So, we threw in the towel and went to see Watchmen instead. It was rather amusing, because we didn't have time to go home and change, so Boy and I showed up at the movie theater wearing a bathrobe and a formal dress, respectively. XD
Speaking of, I guess I *have* lost weight, because the dress was roomier than it was during the holidays. I *barely* fit into it before, to the point where I didn't even want to sit down, because it was so restrictive. Yesterday, it was quite comfy, and sitting through a 2 1/2 hour movie in it was no problem. W00t!
I'm sore as hell right now, and I have a tight schedule tonight, so I think today will be a much-needed Rest Day. The weekend is looking good! Dancing on Friday, Gaming on Saturday, recovery on Sunday. Gaming means that I have to miss the Bake-Off (Boooo-URNS), but I may just bake something for the gaming posse instead. ;) Every day is a good day for baking!

Date: 2009-04-02 07:29 pm (UTC)I'm not sure yet about tonight. I'm slightly leaning towards yes, but I also didn't fall asleep after game until after 12:30 this morning. If the creeping tiredness of the mid-afternoon sneaks up on me, I'm not sure I'm gonna want to do anything after yoga. I will text you well in advance, though! I don't want to keep missing out on this, and having a few drinks and lauging might be really good for me. :}
