30DC Day 3
Apr. 2nd, 2009 09:41 amEating Well - We wound up eating dinner away from home, so I *barely* made my fruit-and-veggie quota. I couldn't measure, so I may have even fallen a tiny bit short. But, a slice of veggie pizza isn't the worst dinner choice in the world, and I followed it up with some fruit, yogurt, and almonds when we got home. And, it was an entirely meat-free day, which is awesome! :)
Keeping Active - We attempted to do the Dressed To Kill Hike, but traffic was a beast, so the group left by the time we arrived at the start point, and the only people we found were a couple of fellow stragglers. The 4 of us did hike around the Arboretum trying to find/catch up with the group for 45 minutes or so, though, so I did get some activity in. :)
Emotional Health - I journaled about wushu competition on the bus and felt vaguely better about it. I also got some Claritin, so hopefully that'll help with the unusual shortness of breath I've been experiencing when I exercise hard. I'll feel *tons* better once I don't have that to worry about. :)
Other - Made it to Trader Joe's and Limbo yesterday, so food shopping was fun and cheap! TJ's is actually fairly cheap if you choose intelligently--they usually have at least one awesome deal on fancy, funky cheeses, in particular--and Limbo is awesome for local, organic produce. I don't think most of you live anywhere near Limbo, but I highly recommend.
