30DC, Day 1
Mar. 31st, 2009 09:50 amEating Well - I did well! I made this for dinner, but swapped in almonds--didn't have any cashews--and added some extra vegetables. 5+ fruit-and-veggie servings was no problem. (I think Poor Girl Eats Well is my new favorite blog, by the way) I did have chicken breast for two meals, but I am allowed some meat, so that's ok. Oh, and I forgot to mention my other doctor-ordered habit: 2 Tbsp/day of flaxseeds. Got those thanks to my magical muffins.
Keeping Active - Monday has been my designated Gym Day, so I hit it up with my usual round of intervals and weights. I'm sore today, so I'm currently regretting it, but it'll pass. ;p
Emotional Health - Journaled on the bus ride in, and before bed, I did a nice yoga restorative I remembered from the class at my old gym: you roll a blanket up and place it along the length of your spine, and basically just lay there and relax into it. It's a good chest-opener, which feels great when you have hunchy shoulders from living on Teh Internets all day.
Other - Got some photos processed that I'd been putting off, huzzah! And I also started putting out the word that we're looking for senior reps for 2010.
