Prints

During my really bad mood the other day, it was mentioned by a few of you that you might be interested in buying some prints. I, of course, am more than happy to sell you some, and we even have a larger-format printer now, that we can make some really nice prints on.

SO, the question is: what sort of photos would y'all be interested in as prints? I always assume that nobody will want to buy people photos--unless they're of themselves or their loved ones--but maybe I'm wrong? Let me know what you're into.

Speaking of photos involving yourself or your loved ones, if anybody on my Friends List would like to do some couple or family-type stuff, maybe I can make you a deal. Boy usually does most of the portrait shooting, so I'd dig doing a fun and spontaneous shoot for my friends. :)

Anyhoo, if you're really bored, you can take a look at some of the stuff I have online, and point out things you like:
my Flickr for people/fashion photos
my less-often-updated events and travels Flickr
my DeviantArt, which has both people and not-people shots

That is all!

P.S. I don't know if it's the extra wushu on Tuesday, or the hour of WiiFit last night, but HOLY JEEBUS I am sore today!

If it's fun and they don't mind a potentially slow turnaround, then sure, I'd at least consider. :)

How're you liking WiiFit? I admit, the thought has crossed my mind to try one out, but I'm not home often enough.

So far, it's perfect for my incredibly short attention span... each activity is a few minutes long, so if you get bored with something, you can easily switch over to something else for a few minutes.

It's surprisingly challenging, too... largely because my center of balance is apparently god-awful, but yeah, you certainly feel like you're doing something. XD

I LOVE LOVE that one of the fighter girl in your living room. Do you have a website or anything?

Well we're at www.enkophoto.com (http://www.enkophoto.com/) of course, and stuff shot by me specifically is on dA and Flickr links in the post. (some of the Flickr/dA stuff is not directly available on the website right now)

I'm curious about your printer. I was going to pay Newspace to print some stuff but if yours has the capacity to print really thick paper, I'd rather pay you.

It's possible! How thick is "really thick"? ;)

It's this gorgeous Hahnemuhle rag. But the guys at Pro told me it'd kill our little (medium format) Photo 1400.

I always assume that nobody will want to buy people photos--unless they're of themselves or their loved ones--but maybe I'm wrong?

I would say people won't want to buy people photos if it's "regular" people that they don't know - but a lot of your shots that use models are less "pictures of these particular people" and more "pieces of art that happen to feature people" - I'm thinking of these ones as examples:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/leftpinkytoe/2114223252/

If the pictures evoke a certain feeling, or have a certain look that people like, (and it's clear the people in the pictures are paid professionals and they're not just, like, hanging someone else's wedding picture on their wall) I think potential customers won't mind that there happens to be a person in the print.

Also, pictures like these:

would be natural choices for prints.
