Things I do not give a crap about:
1) who the Portland mayor has previously had "relations" with. If he's doing a solid job running this city, who gives a flying crap about his sexual history? Why does anyone even ask those types of questions to begin with?

2) the LOST season premiere. That show has sucked ridiculously for a couple solid years now! Move on!


In other news, I'm feeling 100% affirmed about my 1337 design skillz today. I pulled together some awesome mockups for a new project--which I won't even be working on due to the transfer--and basically owned face with them. Unfortunately, the form-over-function asshats at our main funder don't seem to believe in our design capabilities here, so my mockups will probably never see the light of day. Too bad, that.

Well, I'll just have to bring the 1337-ness to the new position. Booyah!

I think the initial inquiry was due to the fact that they thought the guy was 17 when he and Sam Adams hooked up, which is illegal. Sam lied and said he NEVER had sexual relations with that woman. And now he got caught in that lie.

Yeah, I know. I don't think it's as big a deal as it's being made out to be, though... there's no criminal act involved, so it hardly seems resignation-worthy, lie or no.

Given the rumor-mongering when it first came up, and how the question was framed, I almost can't blame the guy for feeling like he had to lie. That doesn't make it right, but it's somewhat understandable.

Yeah. My main concern is whether or not the relationship in question was legal and ethical. If it was, then I am fine with Sam being mayor. The lying is disappointing, and I wish he didn't do it, but I'll live with it.
