Being 1337
Jan. 13th, 2009 01:03 pmI don't know what it is, but when I'm being solicited, I get *especially* annoyed when solicitors try to sell me web services. Yeah, I do work in the web field, and they probably assume I'm some dipwad with absolutely no technical savvy, but they still manage to underwhelm me without fail, by offering me:
A) something fugly that I'd be ashamed to associate my business with
B) something I could easily build on my own, if I carved out a couple hours some weekend
or C) a second-rate version of a service I already have (in today's case, an online print fulfillment system.)
Being 1337 ain't easy, y'all. ;)
(P.S. phone solicitors are by far the worst, because ewww talking on the phone)
