Today is for happy-making

Yesterday was for depresso doom-and-gloom posts. So, today must be for happy-making.

I'm working on an all-weddings website for Teh Business. It'll be good for marketing (the fact that we don't specialize in *just* weddings and/or portraits sometimes confuses people), and I like how the look is coming along, too. It's similar to our current site, but it definitely has its own wedding-ish flavor. :)

In other news, I forget if I mentioned this, but I was doing athletic shots quite a bit back in the Fall, and quite a few of the models came from an agency that was basically giving me a trial run by sending me some of their new talent to shoot with. They were all great to work with, and we got some rad images.

Anyhoo, I touched base with the agency today, and they were happy with the final images, AND felt confident enough about my work to include us in their list of trusted photographers, which they give out to all the new talent that signs with them. That means a regular stream of athlete-models will be seeing our work, and hopefully booking us for their portfolio/comp card shoots. Win!

Speaking of photos, since I haven't posted a photo in quite a while, here's one I shot early last month. *Definitely* going in the stock photo queue:


 

And in closing, find out How To Tell If Your Cat Is Plotting To Kill You. Based on that, eaglecrash's cats were apparently *constantly* failing at ambushes. ;)

I think it would be fabulous for you to be able to go full time. I really hope you can make the leap.
