At last, some photos that I can actually *show* y'all! I have too many shots in the queue that I have to keep under wraps for various reasons right now. Boo-urns!

We shot 4 outfits, so there are quite a few more coming down the pipeline. W00t!

I also had an *amazing* beauty shoot yesterday. I got to use a lighting technique that I hadn't tried since summer of last year... one that I didn't quite get perfect the first time around, either. Yesterday I knew exactly what I'd done wrong the first time around, so it was easy to set up, and yesterday's shots are 100 times better. I forget sometimes how much I've learned in so short a time.

I definitely want MOAR LIGHT MODS, though. A bigger softbox and a beauty dish, for starters. And I *need* to get my hands on a ring flash one of these days.

You can borrow our ring sometime, if you want to play around with it.

Aww... this looks like so much fun. :{

I know you're busy getting paid work. I'l have to talk to you about doing a shoot for me sometime... cost, etc. Unless you have some personal project that I'd work for, but that'd be kinda a long shot.

And I'm all like, "What year is that Mustang?"

I'd like to get better at photography; so far it's just a fun hobby. I do have one decent "walk-around" lens, at least.

Are we still on for knitting tomorrow? Where is the group meeting?

It's 7pm, at Muddy Waters. (2908 SE Belmont) I might be a touch late, but I hope to get there before 8pm!

(Also, these are great pictures! I got so caught up in my knitting frenzy that I forgot to mention!)

It would depend on when during the week. We're using it for a bat mitzvah this weekend, and then a wedding next. Why don't you give us a call and we'll figure something out?

Thanks! BTW, it sounds like knit night might be cancelled this week, I'll keep you updated as best I can! I'd call or text, but I lack your digits. :)

Heh, it's my friend's car, although she's not driving it much because it eats gas like crazy.

What're you shooting with?

Yeah, we should totally talk rates, especially since I'm looking to scale it back on projects, and thusly would have very few to cast for. I'd love to do something rad for you! :D

Yeah, I try to ride my motorcycle more often than drive my Subaru because 52mpg is nicer than 22.

I've got a Canon Digital Rebel XT. I have pictures from that camera here and here. I need to go through everything I've done and scrap all of the fuzzy or bad pictures, since 2gig+2gig+2gig [...] eats up a lot of hard drive space. I also have a Yashica FX-70 that I inherited from my dad. I don't really know what all to do with that camera; I have some B&W film in there the past two years that I've occasionally been taking pictures with. Not sure if that's good for the film, or how it'll turn out when I get a round tuit.

For the Canon, I have a EF 28-135 IS for walking around and taking most photos with, and I also have a EF 50mm 1.8 prime lens for taking portrait or aquarium picture with. I haven't used the kit lens since I found a used EF 28-135 available in a store. I wasn't used to SLRs, so I figured a used lens wouldn't be as bad to bang around.

I neglected to mention how striking the colours are in your pictures above. :)

I absolutely love those, plus it doesn't hurt that I can think there are people in this world who are as pale as I am.
