I don't think I've mentioned this before, but I friggin' love Trader Joe's. Everything I've ever bought there was delicious, and I love that they try to stick to natural, high-quality ingredients.

Thing is, there's never really been one that wasn't a pain to get to from where I lived, so I rarely ever shopped there, but now? There's one literally up the street from my house. Well, okay, 30 blocks up the street, but it's easy to get there. Close Proximity To Tasty Vittles = Awesome!

Now, I just have to make sure I don't go crazy on all the ridiculously yummy, surprisingly cheap snacks and treats they keep in stock, heh. I escaped with my life yesterday, and also discovered that their middle eastern flatbread makes for an easy crispy pizza crust. OM NOM NOM.

I seriously don't understand people who don't derive enjoyment from food. B occasionally says, "I wish I only had to eat like, twice a year," and I think it's complete madness. Food is full of possibilities, and there's nothing like creating a dish and then feasting upon it! Maybe I just dig that because I'm a creative builder type, because lord knows I get immense satisfaction out of seeing an artistic vision through to completion, be it food-based or otherwise.

On a completely unrelated note, go to kucinich.us and sign the petition for impeachment. It may feel late in the game, with the elections coming up, but it's never too late to hold someone accountable for their deeds. Smoke 'em, Dennis!

P.S. I made a long-overdue icon for food blather. I think it's fitting.

Yes! The middle eastern flatbread pizza is AWESOME. It's also really good dipped in the Trader Joe's tzatziki sauce, or the garlic hummus.

Oh damn. The mini-pizzas are totally going to be my dinner for most of next week. Eee!

I sort of wish I didn't. It would make this "eating right" thing so much easier. Maybe those people have a jacked up sense of smell?

Heh, thing is, I think the people who bitch about having to eat all the time don't really eat any better than you or I. :) They might eat less overall, but they'll just grab whatever crappy, nutritionally imbalanced thing is closest when they *do* eat, because it's the easy option.

Salem needs a Trader Joe's!

I understand the not wanting to eat. This often is the opinion of people who have had digestive tract woes.

I definitely used to wish that I didn't have to eat back when my Crohn's was giving me so much trouble, because it felt like every time I put any food in my mouth, I got sick. But I agree that good food is such an amazing part of life!
