Calling all you lady wordsmiths!

What you should be:
- you must like food! And by that, I mean that you should have a fairly adventurous palate.
- you must live in Portland, or nearby enough to sample the local fare on a regular basis.
- you must have writing skillz. Yes, skillz with a Z, because they should be fairly MAD skillz.
- you should be a lady, as the name of the blog sort of implies that. But, if you're a dude, I could still be convinced.
What you DON'T have to be:
- You don't have to be a food snob or a gourmet. I have a fairly tolerant palate, myself, so I generally try to avoid the snobbery. (Chinese food not withstanding, naturally, because COME ON.)
- You don't have to have 1337 design or web abilities. It's run by Wordpress, so if you can enter text into a form field, you're good to go. (and yes, I actually plan to give it a sparkly new design in the nearish future)
The What and Why of the blog:
- We'll blab about food. Some of it is Portland restaurant reviews, some of it is recipes, some of it could be product, if it ties in well enough. For example, I've reviewed vegan cheeses before, and we all know that veganism is alive and well in Portland. ;)
- I'd like to update more often, but it's pretty clear that I don't have the time to do it on my own, and I don't eat out quite often enough to make a good go at it. With our powers combined, we'll do better!
- Updates should happen at least once a week, hopefully several times a week. There's no set schedule, though, so we'll look at what works best for us, and see how it shakes out.
- Ideally, we'll popularize the blog and eventually make ourselves a few extra bucks through Google Ads or some other similar program. Or maybe get a book deal? Hey, it happens, so you never know.
