Random snippets, because I (still) feel like crap today. (but less so than the last time I posted, so huzzah!)

--The illness took a turn for the worse on Friday, so I spent the majority of my 3-day weekend feeling awful. I'm sure much of that has to do with the work-related stress. And, of course, I came back to the office today to EVEN MORE STRESS. More revisions to do by the end of the day tomorrow! I swear, they're trying to kill me.

--So far, three of the four actors we did headshot trade shoots with have chosen to buy high-res copies (which they weren't obligated to), and wedding bookings are ramping up. We're getting published in a couple different places soon, and we also have some other fiendishly awesome ideas that could rock... so far, this year is looking pretty good. :)

--I think I got hit on last Thursday at the MAX stop. XD I wouldn't normally mention it, except that I actually found the guy attractive, and he went out of his way to chat me up in spite of my iPod blasting in both my ears. I'd have acted more interested and gladly given up my digits, if I weren't A) already in a relationship, and B) sick as a dog.

--I missed wushu on Friday *and* Saturday, and that makes me a SAD PANDA. I'm going back to practice today... I don't expect it to go particularly *well*, but I'm getting restless without my practice.

That's all I can think of.

I love wedding bookings. We're at 7 right now and it's looking good for meetings tonight and tomorrow.

We've gotten a few requests for Sunday weddings, which we don't do. Do you have a portfolio link I could give people? I'd love to refer some people.

Oh, sure, that'd be rad! :) Here's our still-somewhat-in-flux Wedding portfolio (http://images.enkophoto.com/gallery/1848521_ukERT). We'll definitely return the favor if we get requests for dates we can't take on. :)

That'd be great. I don't think we've quite reached the point where we're ready to take on full-fledged second shooters, but we're already looking into hiring an office manager. Things are just too hectic around the house without having someone come in part-time to pick up the slack.

Yeah, full-on second shooters on a constant basis is a tall order, but it seems like there are quite a few people who'll do second shooting as a one-time gig. We made use of that a few times last year when we had double-booked dates :)

Yeah. Double booking sucks. What kind of rates are you guys charging for weddings?

Right now we start at $525 for up to 3 hours with one photog, and it basically goes up from there depending on number of hours they need, and whether they want one or two shooters. The packages we have outlined top out at $3000. :)
