Gotta love it when you sleep for 4 hours, and then wake up for no good reason, and find yourself unable to get back to sleep. Ugh, WTF?

I got my first-ever full-body massage yesterday, and it was very nice. I must admit to being mildly wigged before I went in, because when they show people in movies/TV getting massages, they're always buck naked with a tiny white sheet barely covering their butt. In reality, I think the most uncovered I got was my back. The rest of the time I had a warm blanket over 3/4ths of my body while she worked on a leg or an arm, so it was very comfy.

Also, massaging with hot stones? NIIIICE. That totally gave my hot shower addiction a run for its money. :) I'd probably be feeling great today, if I'd gotten more sleep last night.

The photoshoot yesterday went awesomely. My goal was to do a more high-fashion treatment with a plus-size model--plus models are generally relegated to smiling while wearing generic-looking muumuus--and it was a project that involved lot of people-wrangling on my part. There is a sad, sad lack of people who want to do anything creative with plus fashion, so finding wardrobe was by far the hardest part, but I managed to pull some folks together to collaborate and create.

Our scheduled hairstylist had a family emergency, so Amy came to our rescue again, and whipped up a fabulous coif. The jewelry designer whipped out perfect pieces for each outfit. Our multi-talented wardrobe designer also busted out some creative makeup. And, I have to take some pride in picking out the model. Not only was she a great example of plus-size beauty, but she showed more creativity in her posing than probably most of the models I've ever shot with, of any size! It was a lot of fun working with everyone.

Oh, and the random picture frame arrangement in the background? That was the product of me furiously painting a bunch of frames from a garage sale on Saturday night, and nailing them up creatively while the model was in hair and makeup. Not bad for a rush job!

They all were totally what I was going for, and I think the one with the long gray dress might be one of my favorite fashion shots to date! <3

Oh yeah, and the wardrobe designer might be making me some new silks for Berkeley! They'll be cheaper and better-fitted than the ones I got from China a couple years ago, and I get the added bonus of supporting her continued fashiony endeavors with my dolla' bills. That makes me happy. :D

Anyhoo, I have a nasty headache, so I'm off.
