Cautious optimism

It sounds like a cool story, and Joss is always making with the fun TV shows, soooo... yeah, I'm excited. XD I don't want to pay for cable, but I'm at least YouTube-ing this. Wooyea!
I'm only reserving cautious optimism for this one, though, because the 7-episode deal is with FOX, a.k.a. Destroyer of All Good Television That Falls Into Its Clutches. Honestly, Joss, have you learned nothing from Firefly? There *are* other networks out there!
In other news, I had my first opportunity to pimp Ron Paul to a random stranger this morning. Some guy on the MAX saw the Ron Paul button on my bag and asked who he was. Ironic that it happened this morning, seeing as I'd taken my stack of little info cards out of my bag just last night, but he knows to Google and YouTube it, at least.
Previously, it'd all just been sign-waving in a big mob of supporters, but now I'm faced with having to talk to strangers about this stuff. And possibly having said strangers get really sassy with me about it! Being politically active is definitely going to take some getting used to, heh.
We didn't do anything particularly Halloweeny last night, but we did grab a bite at a bar down the street. It was actually a pretty cool place, and the food was awesome, too! Not your average bar food gut bombs, but tasty sandwiches, salads, and soups, some fancy-schmancy cheeses, and so forth. Gaw, we desperately need more places like that around our neighborhood.
