We're contemplating having a Halloween party. Anyone interested in attending?

I made some pretty awesome Chickpea Fritters as part of dinner last night, because we had a few cans of them kicking around the house. I saw a few different versions of them when I looked for references, but I wound up making with a more italian-style fritter. It was yum! :D

Speaking of, the whole thing of Garbanzo Beans having two names is kind of annoying, especially when somebody only knows them by one or the other. And "garbanzo beans" is more fun to say than "chickpeas!" Maybe it's just me.

Anyhoo, I'll have to post the recipe later, though, because I'm talking 'bout vegan cheese at the food blog today. Some vegan foods have really come a long way, but vegan cheese isn't exactly one of them.

The next few days are going to be NUTS. I have a meeting tonight, and we head down to Eugene on Friday. Saturday will likely be busy, too--but, at least it should be busy in a more fun way--and then I shoot a duathlon on Sunday morning. THEN, I'll be shooting at Fashion Week on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday, and training my kiester off at wushu on Tuesday. Tomorrow night is probably going to be my only opportunity to really kick back until late next week. Gaaah. x_x

So, yeah, don't mind me, I'm only going crazy over here. ;p

When would this party be?

And is that icon of yours from a japanese hotel commercial?

No idea, heh. Probably on a weekend. Honestly, I'd rather go to someone else's party than plan one, largely because we don't know a lot of people up here yet, but it beats having nothing to do. :D

The icon's from one of the Japanese TV shows featuring the J-pop group SMAP. (that's one of their members dressed up like a lady, heh)

To make it even better, I call them "chechi" because that's what Papa's Indian postdoc Raj used to call them. :P

I would totally come to a Halloween party. I have the same problem as you. I want to go to a Halloween party, but I don't really want to throw one myself. It's looking like a pretty lame party year, I do have to say. Let us know soon if you do throw one, so I don't schedule another one (potentially out of town)

I'd like a party, and would attend, but don't overextend yourself. It sounds like you've got a lot on your plate right now.

Hopefully there will be other costumed events that you can partake in. :}

Jess wants to do something for Halloween, but doesn't know what, and I'm down for it, so that's a tentative "yes".
