Run run run
Oct. 2nd, 2007 02:37 pmI finally got my arse out on the pavement yesterday... my previous run had gone pretty well: about an 8-9 minute mile for 2.2 miles, officially making it too short for a good aerobic workout. So, we tacked a couple of extra blocks onto the loop yesterday, and it still felt pretty easy. W00t! I'll be back up to 4 miles in no time, I just have to be consistent.
Of course, this was after 48 hours of rest, so the fact that I'm doing wushu for 90 minutes today will probably make the next run suuuuuck, because my leg muscles will all cry like little babies. ;p But, I figure I should at least be able to slog through 2.5 miles okay. Baby steps, y'all.
Also, I usually feel like a pathetic runner when I'm not running alone, because I inevitably end up doing so with people who are better runners than I am. I actually felt like I was keeping up pretty well yesterday, though, so that was new... but good!
My head is all over the place today... I'm looking forward to getting out of here and training my butt off.
And then? Maybe eggplant sandwiches for dinner! Booyah.
