Mar. 22nd, 2007 02:24 pmPoll for the audience: What's a good, affordable, RELIABLE webhost? Features I'm looking for: Unlimited domains, unlimited IMAP email, subversion, shell access, php/mysql support. And of course, lots of storage and bandwidth. Recommendations? :D
Here's a link for you: More men taking wives' last names. The article itself is short, but what's interesting is the range of responses you'll see in the user comments.
I went to see Gizmo yesterday, and let him run around in the grass for a bit. It was fun, but it also made me a bit sad. He's a unique little bugger, and it's hard to look at him and realize that he's actually very old for a dog. I talk to the little guy like I would a person, a lot of the time--I generally do the same with kids, too, but that's a soapbox point for another time--so I guess I miss him like a person.
Anyhoo! We leave for Berzerkely tomorrow morning! (hint to Bay Area people: come see!) My weapons bag shoulder strap broke off yesterday, and I accidently whacked myself in the head with my staff at practice last night. It aches like nobody's business. Owwww. I am trying not to take these two things as an omen. XD
I'm half-scared, half-indifferent. I kind of want to drop one, maybe two of my events (staff and nanquan) because I haven't practiced them enough, but eh, whatever, I'll do them anyway. This year feels different, because last year I was so, so hoping to win or place, whereas this year I don't really expect that at all. If my beginners do well and have fun, that'll satisfy me. There's a small part of me that wants to do well, so I can do *them* proud, too, but it's more about them than me.
Anyway, today is almost over. Woo! And I got my hairs cut! It looks cool. THE END!

Date: 2007-03-22 09:33 pm (UTC)I would highly recommend my host micfo.com. I like them SO MUCH more than any other webhost I've had. The only thing I don't like is their webmail clients, but now that I can use gmail for all of that I don't care. :D

Date: 2007-03-22 10:39 pm (UTC)Ha! That reminds me of a smart-ass middle school bit:
A: Get a haircut?
B: No, I got 'em all cut. :P"
...which, the first couple times, left me thinking "WTF is a mall cut?" shutup -_-;

Date: 2007-03-26 05:27 pm (UTC)I wasn't sure about the e-mail. Odd that they have so many features but not IMAP. Wonder if there is a reason for that.
