batskeetsNew Year's Eve invites have been sent out! If you didn't get one, then, A) I don't have your e-mail address, or B) I wasn't expecting that you'd be in Eugene and able to come. Give me a poke if you want in.
Well, I'm at the job today, but I'm glad to be back in town! I'm sure a large part of that is due to my *still* feeling utterly drained from the drive back yesterday. High winds, tollbooths causing gridlock, people driving like jerks... sigh. My room is a disaster, at the moment, and I think a closet purge is definitely in order. There are some ill-fitting and/or worn-out things in there that I've held onto for way too long, simply because I didn't have anything to wear in their place. I did manage to find a place for all the new shoes, after doing a shoe purge, at least.
Speaking of shoes, Ben's present to me is a nice pair of hiking boots! :D I don't think I've ever had a proper pair before, so that's pretty cool. After busting my ankle over the summer, and having me whine and complain about it constantly thereafter, I'm sure he probably wants to keep me from falling and breaking myself again for a good, long while. ;)
And, yes, the sandals that kept trying to kill me were the first victim of the shoe purge. Heh.

Anyhoo, tonight I'm going to train like crazy, and test out my new running shoes, among other things. I'm looking forward to an awesome weekend. Woooo!
