Well, I had a crazy-busy weekend, but in that good sort of way.

Friday night was good fun. I met up with the work posse to have a drink and shoot the breeze, and I was a bit out of it, but it was fun. A few of us broke off after a while and headed over to Sushi Station, where we clowned around and stuffed ourselves silly. Sushi is great. :D I went and watched the latest BSG with Ben afterwards, and crashed early, because Saturday was going to be busy.

We went out to the coast with a model from Craigslist on Saturday, and did some funky shots at the hobbit trail. She was more hung up about getting dirty than a lot of our previous models, but she knew how to bust out the facial expressions, so we did get some good photos. Later on that evening, we went to a show at the WOW Hall and took some pictures there for fun. The show itself was good... they bill themselves as "bluegrass punk," which made for an interesting sound. Ben knew one of the band members, too, so maybe they'll look at the photos later and see something they like. :)

Yesterday was super-fun! I'd been thinking about going to see the Star Wars exhibit at OMSI sometime in the next few weeks, so when [livejournal.com profile] nidaba offered to pay my way in exchange for taking their picture with some cool Star Wars paraphernalia, I jumped at the opportunity. :) They had a lot of cool stuff from the movies, and there were Storm Troopers, and even a Boba Fett walking around! The Millenium Falcon cockpit replica was not quite what I expected--mostly because the film was short and you didn't get a chance to walk around in there or anything--but it was pretty cool anyway. I took a bunch of pictures that I'll put up sometime in the next few days!

Since OMSI is conveniently by the waterfront, and things were looking nice outside at the time, I had [livejournal.com profile] craftyran meet us there after [livejournal.com profile] nidaba and [livejournal.com profile] gmendel left, for more photographic shenanigans. Of course, the weather was well on its way to turning crappy by the time she got there, but she was a trooper and endured the winds and rain, and I think we actually got some nice stuff. I think I'm learning, or at least being more alert... woohoo!

After getting back, we watched Enter The Dragon--see? I *am* paying attention to your recommendations!--which was freakin' sweet, and I worked on a matching hat to go with the scarf I finished the other day. It's going to be awesome, assuming I don't screw it up... hats can be tricky, being roundy and all. :)

So yeah, I'm feeling pretty good today! Or I would be, if I hadn't been coughing so much last night. It only seems to happen when I'm trying to sleep... I'm fine when I'm up and about, jeez :p Tonight, I train my butt off, and then do a bunch of errand-y things that I've been putting off.

Ever try a knifty knitter? My craft group is bonkers about them, they make hats super easy...

I haven't! I've seen 'em in the store, though, I think. I think this is only the third hat I've ever made, though, so I'm sure I'd be doing better if I did it more often. :)

OMSI was so much fun!

Thanks for taking our picture. I just couldn't stop grinning when the Storm Troopers showed up :-)
