I've been getting headaches all week, without fail. I can't seem to get past 1 or 2pm without feeling a nice throbbing in the back of my skull. Doesn't seem to matter whether or not I wear my glasses, either. ARGH.

On a brighter note, I talked on the phone earlier with a guy who may be hooking us up with wedding photography gigs! Apparently, they get a lot of wedding gigs in this area, and are looking to farm out the overflow to some good people. :) Woohoo!

Called my dad last night to wish him a happy birthday. He didn't feel like talking too terribly much, because he has a cold and was sounding all scratchy-throated, but it was pretty good, and I have to remember to finish my Christmas list before too much longer. After I got off the phone, Ben and I played racquetball, and I actually did pretty well... I didn't win, but I came close every time. Muahaha. Not bad for being able to count the number of times I've played on one hand. :D I made fabulous sandwiches after that, and OMG pears! D'anjou pears were on sale, and they were effin' perfect.

Dunno what I'm going to do tonight. Wushu, for certain. Maybe kung fu movies? I think there's supposed to be a surprise party this weekend, but I forget if that's tonight or tomorrow...

Yeah, still the same:

Anyway, I'm going to stop typing now, because there's something in my eye, and that's BAD NEWS.

1. What is your posture like during the day.

The reason that I ask is because the area you indicated (back of your skull) can be really set off by posture. Stretching and or checking your posture in the middle of the morning might help. (I like doing office yoga stretches)

2. How much water do you drink during the day (this does not include soda pop or coffee)?

One symtom of dehydration is having a headache. I find that drinking water (just plain, ice cold water) helps prevent the onset of massive headaches.

In college I use to have headaches consistently EVERY day. So I consider myself a headache prevention expert now that I rarely have them :-P Of course, the few times I did get headaches recently I usually forget about the two items I mentioned above. So best of luck to you :-)

I'm curious

Will you be in the Portland area next weekend?

Well, the headaches usually show up when I'm at work, so I know water isn't the problem, because I drink *tons* of it while I'm there. :) (filtered water system FTW!)

Posture seems likely, though, and I thought that might be part of it, because it seems like I'm more prone to headaches when I'm working on the laptop. That usually has me more hunched over to look down at the laptop screen. :)

I actually might have a short photo gig up there, so yes, it's possible-to-likely! What's happening? :D
