Actual sign held by a (presumably) homeless guy, that I saw on my way back from the Register-Guard this morning, to the best of my recollection:

Why Lie? Don't need beer,
But I could use a wife.
Meet me at 4:20 on Cloud 9
Anything helps

I love it when street people show a little creativity and humor. :)

Speaking of the Register-Guard, I start my once-a-week paper route next week... it's close to my house and it should be pretty easy. The guy commented on how you have to "learn the route," at first, because people don't mark their houses very well around here, etc. Of course, having worked for DDS previously, I'm *very* familiar with that fact! ;p So yeah, I think I'll do fine.

I'm bracing myself for the weekend. Friday is wushu and dinner out. Saturday is Portland for photoshoots. I was originally going to do photoshoots on Sunday, too, but one was going to be a pretty intense wushu shoot (which I'm definitely too sick to do this weekend, and he understands that), and the other photographer is having scheduling problems behind the scenes. I'm actually happy about the cancellations, though, because I could definitely use the rest!

As for what *will* happen on Sunday, that'll be some yet-to-be-determined combination of things. However, Phil is descending upon the ol' EUG this weekend, so he's having a workshop for the wushu team, newbies and all, and I'll probably be on board for that. Whoof!

Have I mentioned that I'm a bit nervous about that? Haha. ;p For one, Phil will see how much my wushu has (or hasn't) progressed since he left, but it'll probably look like crap because I'm coming off of this stupid sickness. The scarier part, however is that he'll also be checking out the skills of these poor little newbies that I've been coaching for nearly 2 months. I haven't had a really trained eye looking at these kids yet, so this is pretty much the first real litmus test as to how well I'm drilling these kids. Aaaaagh!

And bloody hell, I've made almost zero progress on my individual form, too... I *think* I at least have an opening, but I'm not sure WTF I'm going to do after that. We're having an informal extra practice tonight, so hopefully I can work on it some more before Sunday.

Oy. That's all for now.

I came across a street person holding a blank sign. My friends and I asked what the message was, and he replied, "I've nothing left to say."

Deep.
