YAR! This be Talk Like a Pirate Day! I love that there's an eyepatch on the little LJ user icon. I was tempted to yar and har through my meeting this afternoon, but they already take long enough as it is, heh. :)

BTW, for those who are interested, Wushu demo happens this Friday! We're not exactly sure where we're going to be, but we'll probably start out at Lillis and migrate around campus. If you're in the area, be on the lookout for us! It won't be the whole team, seeing as we're not exactly back in fighting shape yet, but we'll do our best.

I just set up a shoot for weekend after next that I'm really excited about. One of the models we shot with in Portland recommended that I get in touch with another photographer she'd shot with, and man, his lighting technique is *insanely* good. I think I'd die happy if I could light a shot like that! I don't know what kind of theme we'll end up going for, but I'm looking forward to it.

Of course, I may very well be running a 5-mile race for the Portland Marathon at 7:45am that same morning... whoooof. I'm not sure if I'll be up to the task, and I sure as hell don't have a shot at placing. I've never been a super-good runner, though, so I'll be happy if I can just finish the race. I remember a time when I couldn't last 5 minutes, much less 5 miles, so it'd be an achievement no matter what!

In other news, I heard a while back that there's a new Batman flick slated for 2008, and the Joker will be played by none other than... HEATH LEDGER?! Kind of an unexpected choice, and there will be inevitable comparisons to Jack Nicholson, but he may very well pull it off.

I can totally see Heath Ledger as Joker, actually. I don't really know how well he'll play the part, but I think he has the right look.

I've also heard rumors of Ryan Phillipe playing Two-Face, which means that between Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, and Ryan Phillipe, The Dark Knight may well have the most attractive men per square foot of any move this year.
