So I finally got to watch Shaun of the Dead the other night, and it was good fun, just as y'all said. I love the British. :D

In other movie news: AAAAGGGH OMG Jackie Chan and Jet Li are going to do a movie together!!!!111one

Random question: what the hell do people mean when they say, "you look good together"? Does it mean that they think you're both hot, and so you should continue to stand around being hot together? Does it mean that your looks complement each other? Do they mean that you look happy together? It's an odd comment.

Anyhoo, I've been keeping it pretty low-key this week. I'm likely going to impose a 2-week alcohol embargo upon myself, because I've got to start thinking about getting back into fighting shape, now that I might actually be able to start quasi-seriously training wushu again. I should probably make sure that my measurements don't go all wacky before the runway show, too.

I've also been thinking a lot about life, the universe, and everything, as of late. If I diverge from my usual set of topics at any point in the near future, and it turns out to be astoundingly boring, I apologize in advance. :)

People make that comment to my wife and I pretty frequently, actually. Even if they don't realize it conciously, people often pick up on the body language between a couple and that impression is where that "you look good together" comment comes from.

On the other hand, they might just be really shallow and think that your clothes and haircuts match nicely. Who knows.

Sean of the dead was awesome. Honestly, most of the good movies and TV shows I've seen lately have been european or otherwise foriegn.

Honestly, I think the entire media industry in the US has gotten too conservative and overconcerned with protecting investments and such to make anything particularly interesting.

Sadly, this is why I'm not sure I'm so excited about the Jet Li/Jackie Chan movie. This whole hollywood thing they've both been doing hasn't really appealed to me at all.

Lately if I want to watch a martial arts movie I go further afield for stuff like District B13 or Ong Bak.
