Yet Another Drive-by
Jul. 20th, 2006 04:25 pmWell, my workload hasn't decreased, but at least I seem to have gotten the scary deadlines out of the way, so that affords me a bit more freedom than before. Woo!
Running was pretty good yesterday, although I cramped up somewhere around mile 2. That seems to happen to me quite a bit, actually... I can't figure out if I'm breathing wrong, or if it's because I'm unconsciously favoring my injured leg, or if it's something else entirely. (if any of you experienced runners out there have some thoughts on that, I'd appreciate them!) Lifting went really well, though. Lots and lots of core work!
I had a nice evening in yesterday; got a bit of work done, watched a bit of The Colbert Report (still effin' genius!) and made steak salad! It is bordering on ridiculous how happy I am about those three things, heh. David and Ben biked over later in the evening to talk business stuff, shoot the breeze, and have a few beers. I can't imagine that it was an easy task biking up that hill, but it was nice to hang out at my own house for once. :) We have a pretty nice pool table in the upstairs, too, so we played a few rounds of cutthroat, and I basically reaffirmed that I suck at pool. ::laughs::
Speaking of business stuff, the shiny new business cards have already begun seeping into the Eugene community... Ben left some at his hair salon yesterday, and I left some at the bank today. I wonder if anyone will bite. Speaking of, if anyone local-ish happens to know people who are getting married, or having some other event that could use a photographer, I can throw some business cards at you! :D We might even give you a cut of the profits, if you refer a paying gig to us.
I'm in a good mood today. :D I'm going to run again after work, then hit up Horsehead for a bit, and then see my co-worker's band play. Fun times, hopefully!
P.S. I put up some flower pictures and a couple sillier ones. They were edits done in a hurry, so be gentle!
