I didn't make it on to WoW on Saturday, but I got stuff done during the day, woo!
I did some tidying in my room, finally got the TiVo set up, and did some workstuff. I also fooled around with some photos I took from the balcony at work. I took them in a hurry, because I only had a few minutes, but I'm pretty pleased, considering that. They are here!
Later in the evening, I got a message that one of the guys from work was having some sort of gathering/performance thingy at Downtown Lounge, so I popped in on that for a bit. He plays guitar and is actually not bad at it! We hung around for a bit, and that was cool, but I guess some of the devs had to work Saturday during the day, because they were all too tired to come to karaoke. ;p Also springing up as odd in my memory is this homey-g type of guy, who was involved in the hip-hop show that was going on after my co-worker's performance, came up and I think was hitting on me a little? Little did he know the sheer nerdity he'd be getting himself into with me, if I'd stuck around at all... bwa ha ha!
Anyhoo, after that, it was karaoke time! :D The rotation at Peabody's was short enough that I got to do five songs *and* a duet! We kicked some ass up there, and I kind of wished at times that there was more of a crowd to observe it. I don't know, maybe if there was a place that was a nice medium between the livelier crowd at Black Forest, and the rotation length at Peabody's... anyhoo, the highlight of the evening was definitely me and
divadrummer teaming up to do "Sabotage" by the Beastie Boys. Holy crap, that one was just FUN. We definitely need to do that again sometime.
I slept in again on Sunday, and then went shopping and *finally* got some of the produce I've been craving. Fruits and vegetables FTW! After that, I went out with the guys to take some photos at Hendricks Park, and I think I got some pretty nifty ones. I haven't had a chance to look at them in Photoshop yet, though, so they'll probably go up in the next couple of days. We worked on some business-related stuff after that, and I got a pretty sweet business card layout nailed down in pixels. Hopefully, we're going to get them printed in the next day or two, and thusly take one step closer to legitimacy as a business. Woo!
And, here it is, Monday again. Work is busy, as usual. That's all!
