Wushu is coming to a close for the school year... I may very well be practicing by myself tomorrow, but I don't care. I need to train, and I should get used to doing it solo, because that's how it's going to be for the next couple of months. At least this time, I think I have enough knowledge built up, and enough things to teach myself that I might actually be able to have at least a quasi-productive training session.

I want to go back to taiji school, too. I'm not sure yet where the money would come from for that, but it's a goal.

So, I previously heard about an open call for a fashion show in Portland a few weeks ago that I'd wanted to go to, but I wound up not going because I had too much going on already that weekend. I looked it up again this morning, because it was still in my bookmarks, and they're having another open call in a couple weeks, because they're still looking for models in my size range. I e-mailed them to double-check whether or not I'd be a good fit size-wise, and they said that I sound good, so I'm taking this as a sign from the deity of your choice that I need to get my butt up there on July 8th and go out for this thing. Woohoo!

[livejournal.com profile] divadrummer found some crazy internet deal for trips to Japan, and I think it's giving me a bit of the wanderlust. I want to go to Japaaaaaannnnn! <3

After working with it for a week or so, I've decided to christen my company-issued laptop Jiraiya. I got some sassy Doctor Who wallpaper for it, too.

So here's a random question: has anyone out there mistakenly applied for a job at the place that they currently work for? I've always kind of wondered if that happens, because I've seen quite a few job listings that don't include specifics like company name or address or what-have-you. It seems like that'd be a hairy situation, if they didn't know you were looking...

My eyeballs hurt. Blah!
