As I like to say, leave it to the Japanese to come up with some really bizarre stuff: hungry stomach tuna commercial!
Also note: Today is Towel Day!
This weekend, simply put, is likely to own face. The last time I went out of town was to visit my family, which is cool and everything, and it's good to see them when I do get down there. It is not really something that smacks of adventure, though. I don't think I've taken a vacation just for the sake of vacation in a long, long time. If ever. Day trips every now and then, sure, but nothing that really qualifies as an escape from daily life. It's about time I did, isn't it?
So, yeah. Me, Jenny, Ben, David, and Michael are loading up on Saturday morning and heading out towards the coast, and probably camping. Woohoo! Camping is also way cheaper than anything else I'd have come up with, so that's awesome. The challenge is going to be figuring out what music I'm going to bring. Being in the car for any extended period of time *requires* good tunes. Hell, for me, being in the car for more than 5 minutes is a good reason for music. ;p
I'll probably burn some CDs tonight or tomorrow, if I have time. Suggestions for good car music, anyone?
In other news, I'm currently choosing between getting a new camera--nothing as fancy as the guys got, but I've found something at a much more reasonable price that will still let me shoot in RAW format and learn to get around with manual settings--and getting new clothes. The camera seems like the smarter choice, because of this whole possible-business-venture and all. The case in favor of clothes, however? I have exactly three pairs of pants that actually fit. ;p Mom might spring for new pants, however, whereas the camera? Not so much.
We watched the House season finale last night, and can I just say, that patient with the swollen tongue? That was some of the grodiest stuff I've seen in a while. Ewww!
Anyhoo, trade shoot tonight, but hopefully I'll get to go running first, because I'm still giving myself shit for skipping wushu yesterday! I'm a bad, bad monkey. :)

Date: 2006-05-25 07:46 pm (UTC)Might I recommend onecall.com for buying your camera? They have great prices. I just bought a little Canon PowerShot from there and their customer service was great. :) My dad likes them too.

Date: 2006-05-25 08:20 pm (UTC)Fortunately, my look-away instincts have been well honed by the likes of CSI and it's random gross scenes. Thanks, CSI!
