Bleh, the weather sure turned to crap over the weekend. I miss the sun, booooo! Just sayin'. Oh yeah, and I was going to run today, too, but I'd rather not get rain dumped all over me. Booooo.
Wushu has been tough lately. I'm not sure if David's drilling everyone harder or what, but I feel like it's kind of kicking my ass, which is a good thing, I guess. My quad tendons don't exactly love it, but my brain does. ;p I'm also kind of celebrating because I got my standing jump outside 360 back! Ever since Berkeley, and especially after I hurt my ankle, I've been hopping on all my landings, but I tried it on Friday and yesterday and I'm finally able to stick the landings again. Woohoo! My jump inside is still ass, but it was never *that* good to begin with, so I'm trying not to fret.
Last night was pretty uneventful, but after shorting myself on sleep two days in a row, that was probably a good thing. ;p I had some dinner, watched an episode of Monk, and pretty much crashed after that. I'm still not caught up on sleep, but I'm feeling better than yesterday!
In other news, I made a connection with a photographer in Portland who also dabbles in modeling, and she has this really nifty, edgy photography style that I love and really want in my portfolio! So, we're talking about doing a trade sort of thing, where we both model for each other's cameras. I told David and Ben about it, and they're both pretty pumped about it, so we're hopefully going up there on one of these next few Sundays and doing this thing. :)
This whole photography thing is getting pretty exciting, lately. Ben and David just got their fancy-schmancy new cameras from UPS today, and the three of us have been talking periodically about what we'd need to take this from a fun collaboration to an actual business, and apparently they even have a couple acquaintances willing to invest *money* in us. (yeah, I know, holy crap!) I definitely need to get a new camera, because I'm currently sort of relegated to being the Photoshop post-processing guru, due to the fact that my current camera is crap. If we're going to get serious about this stuff, then I'd really like to turn out better work from behind the lens. (which is yet another reason why you should buy my stuff ::coughcoughcough::)
