Last night kind of blew; I wound up working super-late, and was late to practice thanks to some utterly ridiculous construction on Franklin. But, I did get to finish watching Prison Break, and make up a big batch of turkey chili when I got home. W00t for TV and batch cooking!
I'm sure I'm late to the party with this one, but: I've been playing around with Flock, when I have a few spare minutes at home, and it is, dare I say, el neato burrito. It's only available as a "bugs and all" developer preview right now, but the integrated services are pretty sweet, so far. I like the fact that it grabs your del.icio.us bookmarks, and I had no problems setting up the integrated blogging feature to use my LJ. The photo management via Flickr is also pretty slick, enough so that I might actually start using that Flickr account that came with my Yahoo! registration. ;p
Oh yeah, and there are also some very nice extensions available, that are similar to the ones I use when I'm doing web dev at work, so yay! I'm hoping that, as development continues, they'll add the ability to update multiple web journals--assuming it isn't already there and I just haven't found it yet--and they'll expand the available services, so I could use LJ Scrapbook or some other such thing, instead of just Flickr.
And, the obligatory wushu rambling: My wrist has been sore all week, probably because I've been doing so much broadsword practice. I asked Phil a question about some form choreography for broadsword--I needed a different move to go into the jump inside--and we ended up changing around a lot more stuff than I originally intended. ^^; I ultimately like the changes, though, they're a bit more old-school, heh. :)
I'm kind of starting to freak out about competition, now that it's almost here. Previously, I had Collegiates as sort of a barometer for my progress before going to Berkeley, but now? Uh, I don't. I haven't competed in almost a year, and I know I've made some pretty serious gains in that time, but... how much? I have no clue.
My soreness is finally subsiding, but I don't know how long that'll last, because I plan on weight training after practice tonight. Aaaaaagh. I am a glutton for punishment. I guess I'd better get it all in now, though, because next week is Spring Break, so it'll be hard enough just to stay motivated.
I'm still freezing my butt off at work. WTF?
I'm hoping to take my camera to the shop in a bit, and see whether or not it'll cost some ludicrous amount of money to fix. I seriously hope not.
That's all!
