My computer is mostly alive again. Yay! And I got my 256MB video card of hotness to work, while I was in there. Double-yay! But, I've forgotten my main AIM and ICQ passwords, and I have no idea what e-mail address they'd be sending password reminders to. Um, that's a problem. Damn you, Save Password function!
I played so much WoW this weekend that it's almost disgusting. LOL! Two UBRS raids, BRD shanker runs, ran my lowbie mage through Deadmines... and NO BATTLEGROUNDS. Woohoo! I feel a sense of freedom just thinking about how much I'm *not* PvPing. ::rotfl:: I've been reading the realm forums sporadically, and it sounds like the whole CP grind to get high officer ranks is just no fun at all. It's definitely making me care a whole lot less about my rank. If it isn't fun, then why do it?
Anyhoo, I didn't *just* play WoW all weekend: on Saturday,
polysciguy fired up his big bad grill and made ribs for everyone! I'm starting to wonder if guys really *are* more pre-disposed to grilling and barbecue-ing, because I can't bust out a good slab of meat quite like J or Sean. I do all right, sure, but... eh. I'm a food master in other areas, I guess. :D Anyway, we were hanging out until sometime after midnight, so that was pretty fun.
We also got together for dinner on Sunday at Marie Callender's, and I have to ask: what is it about that place that attracts elderly couples? I'll just be sitting there, waiting for my dinner, and then I look to my right? Old people. Look to my left? Old people. Look behind me? Even more old people. Sprinkle in the occasional high school winter formal contingent, and that's any given evening at Marie Callender's. :p And maybe it's just me being paranoid, but the old folks always seem weirded out by us. I can't tell if it's because our conversation is so nerdy and incomprehensible, or if it's because I cuss like a sailor if you bring up the wrong topic. Probably a little of both.
Random celebrity fashion interlude: Bai Ling needs to STOP hitting the crack pipe. My GOD.
Cool thing: apparently, I'm not the only one 'round these parts who wants to experiment with portrait photography, because Ben and David are trying to get somehapless victims willing people to model for a portrait session soonish. Woohoo! I must say that I'm getting sick of looking at 50-100 shots of my ugly mug whenever I do photo shoots, and the self-timer shuffle is also getting old, so I'm looking forward to a more realistic opportunity to shoot other people. I'm also probably going to do some wushu, so the other photographically-minded folks can try out some motion photography on me. Weeee! I hope it doesn't look like ass.
Anyway, I trained a bit on Sunday night. Not much, because space is limited, so it was mostly stretching and strength stuff. I wish that A) my living room would spontaneously double in size, or B) the weather would start warming up, because I craaaave wushu. It's taking over my brain.
Rar! I'm off.
